Sanity, the key word is "Combined" I typed it slowly so maybe you can understand.

ALLLLLLLLLLLL those other countries out there. 95% of the world's population spends less COMBINED then the US does on health care.

Wanna know what else? A lot of those countries have people that are healthier and have LONGER lives than Americans.

If you read this slowly, maybe you can comprehend it.

Give to the March of Dimes, no, give MORE to the March of Dimes.

You know what I don't see about that situation is the little guys were making this drug at ten bucks a dose right ? Now the big boy have exclusive rights to something they didn't even invent ?

Enfocement action ? The law must be even more fucked up than I thought, and that's saying something. They didn't do the initial reseach, they didn't invent it. They certainly can't have a patent on it because of prior art, what gives ?

I know what gives - $$$$$$$. And it's a fucking shame.

But thee is one ray of hope. Those cease and desist letters, If I got one I would wipe my ass with it. Why did they send them ? They shouldn't have had to right ?

Just like at parking lots and certain businesses when you see a sign that says "Not responsible for...." this or that, what that means most of the time is that they ARE in fact responsible. The sign does not change tort laws, or much of anything having to do with bailment. They just want you to THINK they're not responsible and forget about it. I think those letters are similarly blowing smoke.

If any one of them has the balls to keep making the drug, maybe we'll see how that plays out.

And you could say that the incidence of Tiger Attacks in Boston and Cleveland is "very low" and you'd be right!

Status: offline 		And now the discussion has been moved from the irrefutable fact that US health care is ridonkulously overpriced and inefficient, to USAican vs British teeth, a subject split by different cultural assignments of straight teeth as coming under health or cosmetic. And Princeton is regarded as Democratic....in the usa it seems everything is politicised.

Until then expect more of the same.
If you dont have healthcare insurance in the US you might as well be attacked by a Tiger, altho it might get you patched up before being sent home to cope alone with an admonition not to play with tigers and plan for ANYTHING " to happen and it WONT happen again. Bad bad person.
Now thats being facetious.
I see too many people just on this board who suffer with insufficient health coverage in the US and it makes me angry that  here(in P&R) its treated like its their own fault.

Really, your US News & World Report article doesnt suggest that socialism begets better health as you claim, what it says is that Americans are slightly more obese, have higher rates of asthma, etc.

Which these arent signs of inferior health care systems, theyre signs of differing lifestyle choices and can account for more expenses incurred as well.
