You realise that the US doesn't have universal healthcare?

Even if the NHS did have 5 year waits (which it doesn't) and didn't treat some things (which isn't true), it would still be better than the USA, where you have no wait because there is nothing to wait for....you just don't get any healthcare.

You're suffering under a fundamental misunderstanding of the situation.



as much as I dislike the NHS I have to agree with DCWoody...on top of that there are now options (at least it was mentioned in the news, I didn't try it as I didn't need it and know I would go home for treatment if I would need serious health care provision) that you can get treatment in other european countries if the waiting time takes too long...so if I would have to chose between not so great healthcare as under the NHS and no healthcare due to having no insurance which can happen in the US, then I would certainly go for the not so good health care than for none...

No, we havent chained our physicians, nurses and patients into dank dark dungeons as they have in the UK and Canada etc but we do have health care, contrary to the malicious rumors started by the Kremlin back in the 1960s.

We pay our people well, and treat our patients with the respect and dignity that they deserve.

That particular article may not state it but the statistics are widely known.

Or should be. Though, I guess if you choose to bury your head in the sand and sing the praises of a broken system, it's your right to do so.

Which it does, most colleges and universities here lean very hard to the left so their findings (even if it said what you think it did, which it doesnt) should be considered suspect.

Again, your article isnt claiming better health care, its claiming more obesity etc. Take off your bias filter for a change and try reading the article you posted, and get your first clue.

Sanity, that's true. If you compare a group of Americans who have been on public assistance for say, ten years (not disability) to a group of Americans who have been working for ten years certainly the working group will be in better health and have much lower rates of obesity, heart disease, asthma and other maladies.
(I wonder why PoliteSub is hiding his mouth with that coffee cup?)

Status: offline 		Their healthcare system is great...If you don't have money it is better than nothing...far better... and if you do and you are really sick you can go somewhere like the US to get good prompt care without a waiting list.

But which ever way their system is better than ours for the majority I believe... It would be different if it were only the UK but I think most all countries with universal healthcare have a longer life expectancy then the US…What more could you measure by?

And when insurance companies stop paying, and the cost of premature deliveries go through the roof... and the numbers of those deliveries escalate....

And people dont view our system as broken.

This wasnt an orphan drug until the FDA made it so. Im hoping they reconsider their position. But I wont hold my breath.

When presented with this level of willfully pig ignorant nonsense, pointing out that there's plenty of independent (and expensive) health insurance programmes for people who don't like the NHS is a bit redundant, I suppose.
