Joe, thats history, and totally beside the point. While its true and I agree with you that Bush was a very Liberal spender, Obama can only "blame it on Bush" if its something Bush actually did, dont you think? And this current budget, which is the topic of discussion, has absolutely nothing to do with Bush.

Seems to me they did their jobs,and in the doing forced some cultural warriors to realize they must do their jobs too. Seems like a deal where neither side can claim complete victory nor claim to have defeated the other. Compromise is often the best deal that can be had.

Mike, didn't Reid agree to separate Senate votes on the riders? Votes that will certainly be looked at, as 23 of his 51 seats will be up for re-election. They may very well have given away Obamacare tonight.
