Age is not a superficial thing to me, it's a real preference and I prefer someone to be within 5 years. It's become more important to me as I get older to be within the same age range as my partner, it didn't really matter as much to me when I was young.

I prefer younger, so I'd be fine with it.  \.  Generally speaking, I'm just not romantically interested in someone old enough to have an AARP card.  .

You DO know that AARP starts trying to get you to join as soon as you hit 40. just sayin.

According to their website, it's 50.  At least they haven't started hounding me yet.

Shaddup.

Might have been a mistake on their part but Ive been hounded by the bastids for 10 years.

QFT

I once dated a guy a little more than 10 years younger than myself. He saw in my wardrobe some of my clothes from the 80s that I still wear for themed parties. His response?

"I just love that vintage stuff!"

Vintage??!!! I bought the fuckers new

I love younger men.

They are one of the reasons I look so young; I basically suck out their youthful essence and leave them withered, bitter and empty shells.

I know that sounds evil, but it is fun.

I dont date too young or too old, I find it inappropriate. It is usually the younger men saying age is a number and how mature they are blah blah blah. It is kind of cute but I personally dont buy it for a minute. Most men are immature, most humans are, but age is a real thing to me and I date within my own age group, 10 years either way is the standard for moi.

age has always been a biggy for me. i soon learned that boys my age were a bore. their maturity, or rather lack of, just doesn't suit me at all. i've always liked older guys in their 30-40's, just that now i've caught that age group up. when i was looking for some i put my age limit between 35-45 because i didn't want someone closer to my step son's age, who i have brought up, and nor did i want to be with someone close to my dad's age. again though it still comes down to attitude and maturity; yes i want someone who is funny and can be silly at times, but i don't want someone who acts like a child.

in the last couple of years i've been approached by alot of younger guys who keep telling me that age is just a number and i should give them the nod if ever i'm looking. well i'm sorry to say that it's very relevent as far as i'm concerned so even if i were to be looking i still would not be giving them the nod.

each to our own and all that.

FR,

The few relationships I've had with much younger men have been rather superficial. I prefer a meaningful relationship with an experienced man of about my age.

In some cases, yes. I really just don't feel comfortable with having a 50 year old+ sub. It just doesn't make sense in my mind... for me. For others, sure, go for it if that's what you are after or enjoy. In fact, there are a few I could probably introduce you to. ;)

Actually, that is not true. You just don't know it because all that is left of them are a pile of lovely bones and a few strands of hair.

Watch out for those predatory older women!!

I don't think I could be involved with someone 15+ years older, or 5+ years younger, feels odd to me.

I tell them I want a man, not a boy.  Men dont need to call a woman old and all dried up when she turns him down . Before being turned down they say they love older women. I tell them good luck with finding a older woman.

what makes a Man.... man ? or a boy..... boy?
is it the mostach? the bird? or gray hair, i have all if that the case!

I dont remember myself calling an old lady old or older (which is older than me & i know that for a fact).
on the other hand i almost get in the friends zone or just leave her alone, neither i call anyone dried up.
I know for a fact that women still give crap about their kids, their grand kids, for then end of their lifes, they dont stop on giving..... ever.

My first crsh was a sexy smoking lady with boots,
her name in arabic = the early morning. she was 33 & i was 25
we did go out, have some (shesha) & come back but,
When i told her how i feel, & i like her, she respond with i dont date boys,
I did not asked her how can you go out with a boy & that is ok, but dont think of him that way?
also she was working for me, & the next day i went to work as usual she did also but we never talked.
untill I called her, And what a surprise she said that i ow her an applogie! which i did. next day she queit her job & went home.
when i did ask why?
she said we just can not work with each other anymore.

Honstly, she did prevent me from seeing her ever again.
what i did wrong? i did ask her out.
I can change who I am, or what turns me on,
infact i will keep trying & trying, even if it means to never been kissed before, or 40 years old virgin.

As folks have said, it has a lot to do with that maturity issue.  If someone is significantly younger, they have to show Me that they have the maturity level that is over and above the majority of folks in their age group.  There are exceptions to the rule out there, but that's the exact thing.  They have to be exceptional!  Most people aren't no matter how much they try to fool themselves into thinking otherwise.  It happens, but it's rare.

For play partners, My age preference isn't as strict, but it still leans the same way.  If I wouldn't want someone as a friend, I wouldn't want them as a play partner and their maturity level does play into that.  Two of the regular play partners that I had prior to My move were under thirty and they were awesome.  My needle bunni was under twenty-five and she rocked!

I'm far less likely to deal with someone via the net where age is an "in the face" issue.

I don't need to put anything aside.  If there is a meeting of minds and needs, it doesn't matter how old or young (legality aside) she is.
