I find many males (and not just "slaves" in the bdsm world) are into having their face slapped, even in public. They have admitted to Me that it aroused them and they beg for Me to do it again. Spankings seem just as common but I will not do that in public as much. Much more fun in private. To add to that I don't think a slave should be spoiled. If he likes something too much he might misbehave on purpose to get punishment or he'll top from the bottom for other things he likes. So again the Mistress has to be in control at all times.

If that's what is happening, then he's not being punished is he? No, he's being rewarded. In that case you have a Mistress who doesn't know what she's doing.

Ever seen those television shows about the nanny that comes along and helps people to make their kids behave? Negative attention is attention. Even 5 year olds know that.

This sums up my take on this point entirely, even when in my Professional Dominant role. A sub must come to me if he is happy with the things I do, not expect me to do just what he wants. I have some strict limits I will not stretch for anyone. It means I always feel happy and in control and enjoying whatever is going on. It does of course mean I see less subs than some PDs but I really don't care about that at all.
