i do like being called "dreamy" rather than just the initials "dotm", but i'll still answer to either/any of them.

I can understand that. When I created this account, I almost used the name HannersGirl, but then I realized that some people would start calling me (or thinking of me) as Hanners, which would get confusing.

When we were both using the other account, it got a bit confusing when people referred to HLH, You had to look at the context or the post they were replying/referring to in order to tell who they were talking about.

Status: offline 		nah, I don't care what ya'll call me......s2s seems to be the easiest, or soul......all I demand is that when you call me Bitch, it's with a capital letter, and you SMILE when you say!  I worked hard for that title.....beat out some real, well, bitches.

And on a side note, what did our little NS do to get [Awaiting Approval]?  Shame on him....which mod did he piss off?  *snort*

I'm also like the couple of folks here....if someone gets all wadded up about their name, I'll poke 'em just cuz I'm snotty that way.  It's really lots of fun to see them go postal.  I have a few of them on hide......

Status: offline 		Well it honestly depends.  I don't mind sunshine.  I don't mind "sunny" although I admit that it surprises me when someone new calls me sunny.  I consider "sunny" more a term of endearment and reading it from someone who doesn't know me kind of startles me.  I just figure I'm some gal on line and their shortening it.... Don't worry... In my head I know it's about key strokes.  I have one of those "-y" names in real life that pretty much NOBODY gets to call me.  Only one person gets to, and he's been my friend for over 20 years.  Here, though, it's actually kind of fun to have that - it makes me feel a little girly and sweet . 

When I shorten someone's name, it's generally because I don't feel comfortable with their name for some reason.  Most of the ladies and gentlemen who have titles in their name will find I usually drop the title. Also, I also don't feel comfy calling "Arpig" that  -  it just wigs me out, so I just all him Ar (in my head I'm calling him "ar ar ar" as in laughter.  Ok, that's not actually true, but I WISH it were!).  Same with people who have names like "cunt for use" or some nonsense.  I'll call her C4 or something.  It just (blush blush) bothers my prudish sensibilities.  (shup).  The other reason I don't call people by their names is I forget who the OP is, and rather than lose my post or copy and paste and then go back, I just call them OP. 

Jst another sub - I always call you JAS (or at least I think I do).  I think you are pretty snazzy jazzy .
I generally won't call people names with adjectives either.  "sexy red" becomes Red.  "Daddy's Red head"  Virgin Potty became VP (but you know that).  That Mr. Ebony Wood really made me nuts because Ebony was an Adjective and Wood was a ... well... I associated it as a naughty word, and I just ... um... well...never you mind.

And if someone writes "CC", I never realize they're talking to me.

Simple, you are a freak about the proper use of the written word. Your name is a proper noun and therefore should be capitalized.

I go by a shortened version of my name in meat life, so it would not bother me on CollarMe. However I have never seen it happen under this screen name.
