Status: offline 		My former dom knew a submissive that ended up in emergency due to a bad fisting experience. She was dating a novice dom when this happened to her. It is good to take things like this slow and not rush them.

Even after hearing about this I still would like to try it, with someone that was patient with it and not intent on having the "goal" being that I am able to take the whole hand... I have more of a process than goal oriented attitude when it comes to things like this and I only would experiment with someone who felt that way too. But that is just my opinion.

and why does that lady of the whatever have to post "awaiting approval" if you need your Man's approval WAIT TO POST UNTIL HE APPROVES IT. It's annoying a stupid.

Status: offline 		I've never understood why white-bread society has such a hard time with fisting.  I'm not into it personally, but, looking at it objectively, you'd think it'd be at least as tolerable as, I don't know, clit piercing or something.  But fisting has somehow been thrown into the sodomy category, and once Christianity gets involved, nothing makes sense anymore.

It holds such a stigma and mystery almost, that the curiosity, anticipation and desire to do it is heightened, I believe, for those that would like to try it.

Some women have a hard time dealing with the concept of this 'huge gaping maw' that would be between their legs.. because in the past (and probably in the future too) a large and accommodating cunt has been used as a derogatory put-down..
But I've actually heard quite the opposite from fans of fisting, in that fisted women have tighter cunts than usual because it's more like excercise than distortion.. (lol.. I don't know how much of that is true though.. the only way to tell would be to use your own cunt ;) )

Fistng has a bad rep?  Maybe that is because you have been talking to people who did not know how to take the proper time, care and lube. 
LadyHugs, your post was wonderful and covered all the points. 
I have seen fisting go both ways...Heavenly or a terrible nightmare.  Because, as was already stated, there are many who think it entails balling it up and ramming it in.  It is not pretty to see someone who cares so little they can't even be bothered to learn how to do it right.  And it still may not work all the time. 
I haven't heard it has a bad rep.  I do know it is one of those things that even a horny vanilla will try. As a result, it is often done improperly and leaves a bad impression.  That same vanilla wouldn't dream of picking up a whip, thank goodness.

Just about anything we do that causes pain has the potential for damage. But we still do what we do anyway. Hopefully, the top will have done their research and can perform in the safest way possible and that all partners involved know the risks. This is why we have mantras like SSC and RACK.

I personally love being fisted. It feels awesome. It's also a great form of Domination the way I do it, because a guy doesn't get to stop when his arm gets tired after five minutes. :-D I'm quite greedy and will easily keep hubby at his "post" for 45 mins.
