But I wonder just how much your need to own and carry a deadly weapon reflects on the US's militaristic attitude, perhaps it is the gun owners reluctance to rely on authorised peacekeepers and do the job themselves, is the American military machine on the world stage, in that fuck the UN we will do the job ourselves and here we are America involved in how many wars that arte not going to plan, if there was ever any plan aside from the wild west posse charging in guns ablazing ?


What are you on North American's back for? Unlike in the UK where a six or seven year old can get a gun permit, tell us how that inspections process works there, for in any part of the United States and in all parts of Canada, the law is a bit tougher then the UK's, on unsupervised minors owning any sort of firearms.

You Brits need to tune up your own gun laws, before you go working on the ones in Canada or the United States.

I always love reading Americans' gun threads, but can we get to the bit where everyone starts to talk about how much they love their particular make of gun? Best of all is when you all start posting pictures of your "hardware".

I always enjoy that bit of these threads the best. It's just fun the way all you American gun-fans haven't the first clue how disturbingly looney you look to the rest of the world! :-)

Now, look, I do understand how the gun-culture has grown up in the USA. It has its own peculiar history, and there it is. Maybe if I were to be a US denizen, I'd carry a gun too. But, please do understand this: whenever I read on this forum about somebody cherishing and nurturing his, or her, gun, it's exactly like reading of someone proudly talking about the huge, pus-filled boil between his or her thighs. A man who talks that way will look disgusting to me. A woman who talks that way will look even worse. If I found her attractive beforehand, her talking enthusiastically about her gun will have killed it for me. Really, it's true: a woman who goes on about her gun is about the same to me as a woman who enjoys farting really mightily then showing me her skid-marked knickers afterwards. Guns are repulsive things to me.

There it is. What can I say? Guns don't give me a hard-on. Sorry. I'm probably gay, like most Brits.

Sorry, Lucy, that graph gave me a headache. Too many loud colours.

But I'll bet that at least twice as many kids die of firearms-related incidents per year in the UK as they do as a result of being attacked by psychopathic, mutated-brained Mexican fruit bats, intensively trained by Al Quaieda, wearing impregnable titanium armour and carrying AK47s.

Maybe even three times as many.

Or perhaps even four times.

How many convicted felons get licenses to own silenced weapons in Canada or the US?

I will let you do the research.. Only urban Ontario residents and British citizens seem to defend handing guns to children and convicted criminals, but want them banned for law abiding adults.

Using "issuing licenses to babies" in the UK as a foil against actual deaths and injuries by guns in the US is not even close to a comparison. Quite laughable actually, Are the licensing laws shameful? absolutely, Do the licensing rules need amending? without a doubt. But please dont fuck with facts about gun deaths, you just look ill informed.

While I agree that some get a little carried away with their toys, I am not sure I would call it disturbingly looney. I also think it is odd that you would say this considering the pic with the pretty gashes you are displaying. My guess is most people would find that a lot more disturbing than someone bragging about their new gun but that's just my opinion.

So where in Canada did a cat get a firearms license? (Probably Ontario, or Quebec, they are the provinces with funny provincial firearms laws.)

Did the instructor and rest of the students in the Firearms Safety Class notice this cat sitting there, or did the cat challenge the course?

It is hard to top some Ontario resident arguing for two year old's getting gun licenses. But you still haven''t told me what part of the Dominion issued a cat a firearms license.

Did they give the cat a restricted license for its Kalashnikov?

I thought the Firearms Center licensing a Weller soldering gun as a restricted weapon was funny enough, but do tell where you heard of this cat getting it's firearms license. Did they actually put tabby's picture on one without noticing it?.
