I didn't like her stuff much but she had an excellent voice. I remember a lot of comedians (e.g. Graham Norton) really taking the piss out of her which I thought was below the belt. Interesting rock n' roll statistic: the age of 27 has a near mythic status for premature deaths, e.g. Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Richie Edwards... and now Winehouse!

I, too, found her quirkiness fascinating and her music a refreshing change from much of the pop drivel out there. I followed her career fairly closely and was alarmed by her performance at her last show. She was struggling with demons and lost any sense of control of her life. So sad how drug and alcohol addiction can become someone's entire world, leading to her death.
