Status: offline 		At occupy erie, we will gladly feed the homeless, so long as they are there at meal times:  8am, noon and 4pm.  Thing is, that is the times when most of the shelters and soup kitchens also serve.  We do have a lot of homeless stopping by at all hours of the day and night looking for a snack or a cup of coffee--they usually get it too.  A few times people were caught stuffing their pockets with apples and granola bars and they were asked not to come back.  One or two items is ok, pockets full is not.

Primarily Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, as well as a whole lot of unnecessary fat cat bureaucrat interference and over regulation

No, I actually read the reports. The OWS people are the ones complaining about thefts.

Once again. READ the reports, don't just do a knee jerk based on your political leanings. Hell, I lean right myself but I look at stuff before I decide.

When apples and granola bars are the only things around, yes we do worry about them.  People bring meals at meal times--sometimes no more than donuts for breakfast, but we don't have a lot.  Erie, PA happens to have the largest poverty rate of all of PA's major cities.

Erie's mayor is bought and paid for by the people of The Erie Club--you have to be among the wealthiest of the wealthy in Erie to become a member of that club.  And it was complaints from The Erie Club that caused the city to force us to remove our tarps from around the gazebo-they blocked members' view of the park from the club.
