ORIGINAL: Kaliko Right, and not to beat a dead horse on an already tedious topic, but...if you did a search for submissives, you would get only submissives, but - those submissives should have also filled out on their profile that they are looking for dominant men, or friends only, or otherwise. Then, between both the searcher and the ....um....searchee(?)....the results should mesh. "Friends only" is kind of just another way of saying "Not looking." It's just a matter of what it's called on this site versus another site. Let me explain if you were just signing up... You fill out all your info and whatever, and then are prompted to answer what you're here for. You then put down something like, "Looking for dominant men" or "Looking for poly household" or even just "Looking for friends." Then when you sign up, you get matched up with results according to what you prefer. Do I want submissive females that are also looking and are 20 to 24 years old? I get only those as results. Any submissive female that is already with someone else and no longer looking no longer appears on my options or "matches" listing. To me it just seems to be more logical and less primitive (such as right now where you have to put in your profile or journal that you're not looking/with someone else). On the other hand it's not rocket science to put in the search criteria when doing a search. If they are getting females who aren't looking they aren't bothering to narrow the search.
