People who treat you with sarcasm and disdain forever on the boards because you once disagreed with something they said.

Potential subs who think dominants are mind readers and are unable to share because they are on there own selfish little trip.

That Mastery and slavery is often portrayed as a promotion for dominants and submissives.

Would you mind explaining this? I'm not sure I understand your meaning.

My biggest pet peeve right now is the guys who message me and start blathering on about how smart they are, because I mention in my profile I'm attracted to intelligence. Or they'll try to bring up physics... but spell it phisics.

I haven't read through the thread,
so some of this might have been said.

One of my peeves are those that say they haven't read the thread when they start their post.

Another one of my peeves are those that write the first line of their post so it rhymes.

But really....

1. Men who demand to talk on the phone before meeting. You know what I have determined is my newest argument to this? Talking on the phone is intimate. It it his voice, in my ear, as I'm snuggled on my couch in the late hours of the night. How is that a first step?

And

2. When I put a lot of thought into a response on the boards and then the thread dies out. As in, birds chirping, hollow, nothingness. I can only assume it's because what I've posted is so fabulously thought out and covers every point so well that there just is no point in further debate, but still. It's very unsatisfying.

Amen!  I couldn't agree with you more.  I absolutely HATE when that happens.

The funny thing is that I never really think about it.  But once you said it, I realized that it's happened to me too, and I remembered how disappointed I felt.

About scening on a first or second date...sounds like you were not very close to those women at first and they didn't know much about you.  Like them, I tend to ask a lot of questions including those about what they want and hard limits.  I put them at ease and start with things they want...and then gradually take over as I go deeper into my topping headspace.

I understand how that would be a good process.  However, I usually don't "play" with someone until we've talked for a while and understand one another's likes and dislikes.  By that time, we've already talked about limits, and we've already gotten to know each other a bit.  We've also already met for coffee, and had the obligatory vanilla meeting.

So the situation that I'm talking about is when all of that has already happened, you have met face-to-face, and decide that you'd like to meet in a more intimate setting.  In the case that I was actually referencing, she invited me to her house.  She said that she wanted to "play with her new toy".  But when we got there, she looked clueless, and asked me what I wanted to do.

IMO, if you're the Domme, and YOU invite a sub to YOUR house so you can "play with your new toy", then you ought to have some idea of what type of playing you'd like to do.

I'm sure there are times when it just won't play out like this.  But I tend to expect the Domme to take the lead.  After we've already discussed our likes and dislikes, then (IMO) she should take the lead on deciding what form of play, work, or other service she would like.  But obviously, everyone doesn't see it that way.

FR

*penis photo(s) in the first message
*being address by my race (i'm mixed, the greeting will always be wrong)
*copypasta
*being harassed to collar a person within the first few messages (one, that's a big fucking deal and it can't be done within a few messages. Two, isn't harassing me to do it a bit counterintuitive?)
*life stories
*attempts to talk shit about my submissive, whom none of these people know
*threats ("you better hope I never see you in a club, bitch!" Is one of my favorites)
*attempts to aggravate me.
*multiple accounts
* "wow, you're hot!" Yeah, no fucking duh.

Honestly, there are too many to list. I have a very low tolerance for any bs these days.

Pet Peeve? CHILDREN! More specifically Children at concerts or in restaurants. More specifically babies. Your 2 year old doesn't give fuck one about the Master Dan Trahn player that came halfway around the world to do this concert, and I can guaran-goddamn-tee that before the 2.5 hour show is over she'll be crying and screaming and really fucking pissing everyone off.

Restaurants... Okay, I like to go to a pub (not a bar, but an actual public house, where they focus on food, and just happen to have a bar). This means that legally children are allowed in. WHY THE FUCK would you bring your noisy, obnoxious kids into a pub!? Then let them run all over and be a pain in the ass of every other customer AND EMPLOYEE there!? They're NOT cute when they're doing that, despite what you may fucking think! "Oh, but little Sally is a well behaved angel." Guess what? I could tell you all goddamn day that I was a nuclear physicist, and you wouldn't believe ME. So shove it and take your kid somewhere they actually want to be.

Here, I'll make you a deal. You keep bringing Little Timmy into my pub, I'll start taking my profanity into your playgrounds and Chuck E Cheese. How does that sound? Not to fucking pleasant, huh? Now you know how I Feel!

And guess what, the waiter is PAID (and not very fucking well) to smile and nod. I can bet you anything that if given half a chance, he would like to tear your kids throat out with his teeth. And no! You can't have crackers for Suzie unless you're going to either tip like a madman or clean up after the mess your freakin toddler makes.

Not that this gets on my nerves or anything.

EDIT: Oh, sorry... CM/BDSM peeves... I'll chime in on that later. Still going to leave this one here though. :)

I been taking boy to my local pub since he could walk. It's a rock pub. I taught him to count on the dart board, how to spell on the jukebox.
We never had screamy bratty tantrums cos the lad never got bored or tired.
I now have a 7 yr old Punk/Goth/Metalhead, who wears a Ramones tee & black skinny jeans by choice. So in a world populated by Justin Beiber fans I am eternally grateful to the customers at my local for helping me raise a normal appropriately adjusted boy. He doesn't nag for snacks or cokes just $$$ for the Juke.

Oh & this is the real pisser. he has developed jukebox terrorism to a fine art. So his tracks will be.

The Sex Pistols
Ramones
Suede
Sisters of Mercy
The Muppets Bohemian Rhapsody
NIN
ACDC.

& when the ex gets naggy or just plain nasty he just tells me to forget it & go for a beer.

Nine, you have just earned your daily +1! haha ^_^

Kaliko, you know that's kind of how I think about phone calls, too, especially since I know that I can get really "into" a voice, even if the guy behind it isn't so great. I mean, I don't get so into it so as to make a bad decision, but voices really affect me, and letting someone into my head/heart through my ears while, like you said, I'm snuggling up on the couch and going into comfy-zone -- that does seem fairly intimate.

Here are some peeves I picked up at the pet shoppe --

Text speak -- l8rz and "words" like that don't work for me, even in text messages. Why would I write them to someone I was trying to give some idea of "who I am" to? Who am I -- a cell phone.

One-liner messages -- actually, I got a message the other day that was just "h" -- I'm not even kidding. Was there not enough time in the spam fest to write "hi"? I understand that it's such a long and difficult word, but really... taking the time shows you care. =p

I don't mind slang, though -- I mean every other word out of my mouth (fingers I guess?) is "dunno" or "chicks" or "dudes." =p "Dunno" is a really bad habit, I admit. I had a bad habit of not capitalizing anything, either, but I'm correcting that.

One that I learned last night -- shutting the lights off in a dungeon space without telling/asking/warning anyone. I mean wow....... WOW. And moreso, the sense of entitlement that allows for that kind of thing. =p "myyyyyyyyyyyy activity is so freaking important right now!!"

(As an addendum to my "I admit" post, I further admit that I adore the word "copypasta." Such a wonderful visual descriptor. =p and in response to this, I hate when a message makes reference to a photo I don't even have, or a statement that's not even in my profile. That's real nice. =p)

Inspired by the other side, and a little conversation I had with someone last night, I came back to add something. The idea that if someone isn't into it for 24/7 means they lack all morals < this is quickly moving to the top of my list. I understand that a lot of people all looking for the end all be all of realationships but I have already found that. The fact that I am happy in a realationship does not mean that other people don't still annoy me to no end and that given the chance I wouldn't still beat the "average" person untill they couldn't walk.

This is the kicker, he plays Mafia Wars on his Xbox & has discovered '50's rock 'n' roll. The little bugger wants the real shizzle for Christmas. Now that's a damned good CD if I can find it.

alot of mine are listed already in here;

not looking at my profile and contacting me to ask for meets, personal details or the 'hi, how are you?' which i already answered in my profile

having viewed my profile and still ignoring that i ask not to do the above, but doing it anyway.

me being polite enough to answer and point them back to my profile where they will find their answer, only for them to get all snotty with me and call me a time wasting bitch. yep i just love those.

when i was looking and had a list of preferences i'd also get mail from guys who didn't fit anywhere near what i was asking for. again i'd then get abuse for saying no thanks. apparently if you are on these sorts of sites you are supposed to want to fuck anything with a pulse and be greatful that they wanted you.

the sub that calls me mistress and asks me to take him on. not being funny sweetheart, but if you can't follow and respect what's in my profile why the hell would i entertain you anyway?

the dom that tells me to message him. no, you need a kick in the cunt for being so vain as to think you can order me to do anything.

again, when i was looking....the lying fob off.....'sorry, must get off, have to be up early and get some sleep now' or whatever, but then they are still online doing whatever til stupid o'clock. it was fine if you no longer wanted to chat, but at least tell the truth as to why you are going. this earnt a deletion of contact. why would i waste my time with someone who can't be honest.

another thing i had a couple of times was; i was with a woman last night but i was thinking of you while i was fucking her. really? sorry, but i don't want to know that someone you are with is that meaningless to you. yeah i get that alot of this is nsa, but still.

i don't mind a cock shot in a profile, i mean when i was in the market for it that is exactly what i was interested in. but what i really don't want to see is a single profile from a 'single' man with a woman spread open all over his profile. i know that people have others in their lives, but i don't want it shoving in my face thanks.

lying. pisses me right off. especially where it concerns other people. so the guy who claims to be single but has a partner of some sort, and i'm including long term playmates in that too. if everyone agree to what is going on then fine. but i find it downright bloody disrespectful if done behind someone's back. it takes away that person's ability to make informed choices. you may think that you know enough about the next person you are fucking, but your partner doesn't. you are the only person getting to make an educated choice, even the next person you fuck isn't getting it if they think you are single.

i'm sure i have loads more if i think about it anymore.

I received the following message today in Spanish:

´I have a small penis.´

My response:

¿Y?

At least that is a full word ... (meaning ´and?´ for non-Spanish speakers)

I like to think that I scored a point on your behalf there, Lilly ...

One of my pet peeves is men who send me erotic stories in lieu of establishing conversations with me.

Another is those who ignore a specific question(s) that I may have asked but still expect me to answer more of their questions.

Finally, people who go *poof* after a connection has been made. I mean seriously-- make up something--lie to me if you must but just going *poof* shows a distinct lack of character.

Note: I'm not encouraging lying. I'm just saying why is it easier to go *poof*?
