Iamsemisweet -> Repubs hold the middle class hostage over a fucking pipeline (12/12/2011 8:44:52 AM)

http://www.columbian.com/news/2011/dec/08/murray-urges-gop-to-extend-tax-break-senate-reject/

Not sure how repubs can sleep at night, over this. If nothing else, this shows who they truly work for. The tax cut extension should be decided on it's own merits, and the pipeline issue should be decided on it's own merits ( or lack thereof).

This is one of the many things they said was exactly what they were not going to do in their elections.

So far, they are batting less than zero on the election promises.

When the moron in the Whitehouse is more worried about his reelection than creating 20,000 jobs at zero cost thats what happens. And its not a tax cut. Its a tax deferral. Social Security is undefunded, remember?

Lucylastic -> RE: Repubs hold the middle class hostage over a fucking pipeline (12/12/2011 8:52:02 AM)

The pipeline is causing a LOT of shit this side of the border, despite the nebraska allowances from the native canadians, environmental groups and others, with damn good reason. They (repubs) are just grandstanding and I dont blame the Pres for threatening veto.

They are bitterly split on the issue, TJ.

Well, as a rat-poison republican, you are not telling the whole story, but that is obvious from the get go.

Pot calling the kettle black. It wasn't all that long ago that dems didn't allow "Obamacare" to be decided on the merits of healthcare reform alone but, rather, along with college student loan and other reforms as well.

Lucylastic -> RE: Repubs hold the middle class hostage over a fucking pipeline (12/12/2011 9:00:54 AM)

20,00 job at zero cost?
WTF is he drinking??
it sure aint the facts

mnottertail -> RE: Repubs hold the middle class hostage over a fucking pipeline (12/12/2011 9:02:41 AM)

Never has been a fact-guy, and that's that.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: Repubs hold the middle class hostage over a fucking pipeline (12/12/2011 9:03:58 AM)

Oil companies want the pipeline, also.

But the Dems didn't run on the single merit stuff, thats why the rat-poison republicans were given a go, and failed miserably in their own profound ineptitude.

They do. And Obama is going to be in a tight spot if it gets through the Senate. He's implied he would veto it, but there is no chance he will. The only group that curries favor with are the enviro-facists and they arent going to help him much in 2012.

mnottertail -> RE: Repubs hold the middle class hostage over a fucking pipeline (12/12/2011 9:06:03 AM)

There was no imply about it.   And as usual the rest of what you say is wrong as well.

“Any effort to try to tie Keystone to the payroll-tax cut, I will reject,” Obama told reporters Wednesday

Iamsemisweet -> RE: Repubs hold the middle class hostage over a fucking pipeline (12/12/2011 9:07:40 AM)

Obama care can be repealed, if it turns out not to be workable. This pipeline, once built, will be a security and environmental disaster forever.
Zero cost? Are you out of your mind, Wilbur?

of course they do, or they wouldnt propose the project, I was just pointing out that the big oil corps are not alone, from what i have read the unions want it badly.. or perhaps i should be more specific.. its the union leaders that want it badly..

Personally, i dislike unions with a passion... and i would be quite happy if the jobs stayed in Alberta where they belong.. or the oil can stay in the ground also.. until such time as oil prices double or so...

Changing names is a TOS violation.

No Im not. Not a penny of Federal money.

And if you think that Obamacare can be repealed after 3/4 of employers in the country send their employees to exchanges, youre the one who needs a sanity check. There has already been billions spent on Obamacare. If its not gone within 2 years, its irreversible.

mnottertail -> RE: Repubs hold the middle class hostage over a fucking pipeline (12/12/2011 9:13:49 AM)

And from what I read the unions are split into two camps on this.  Big divide, and it makes some sense.

Sure, folks want jobs, good jobs, and they would be good jobs, but at what cost to the US?  And there ain't no 20k jobs there, that is asswipe.  We don't need that dirty fuckin shit here, adding more poisons to our environment, and it isn't going to drop oil prices.

So the fights between rat-poison republicans and tree-hugging socialists (as wilbur et al want it) is on the table, with reality somewhere else.

And, as a kool-aid dependent Obama minion, you can't handle the facts/truth so you attack the charactor of the messenger(s) thereof.

mnottertail -> RE: Repubs hold the middle class hostage over a fucking pipeline (12/12/2011 9:18:37 AM)

Yeah, that's pure unadulterated asswipe.  Show me credible citations of the 'facts' you got there, and how they differ from the facts that I have in evidence.

Here is one of your jobs bills, look the fucker up:

We are now being regaled with stories of how the right has been stymied in their vigourous efforts to put america back to work by such bills as H.R. 872, Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act of 2011, which is a bill that fundamentally bans federal permit processes that restrict the efforts of businesses to dump pesticides, insecticides and rodenticides into our drinking water.
