Status: offline 		I'm just curious as to how often male doms think they can dominate a girl online.  So, I had this experience with a so called dom who was across the globe.  Now, I like talking to people from around the world.  He is from the UK so I started talking with him.  There was no real chit chat about him or me.  Odd, right?  Isn't the point of a dating site to get to know somebody?  Anyway, all he wanted to do was tell me what to do.  He wanted to throw out all of these 'lifestyle sayings' to me.  He also wanted to let me know about all the wannabe 'self-taught' doms out there.  I'm guessing he is an academy trained dom.    He wanted me to write his screen name on various body parts and email the pictures to him.  He wanted me to do a ton of things on my webcam for him.  However, he has 3 webcams and not one of them work.  I was very ill yesterday and was vomiting and he wanted me to get naked on cam for him.  I'm just wondering how many doms out there are like this.  To me, it's a joke.

That isn't to say that there aren't plenty of really rockin Doms out there as well though.

Remember that you don't owe anyone any submission till you're ready to submit to them (although I suspect that you're smart enough to have figured that out), so if you're looking for a connection beyond simply "put a silky thong on for me..." then you're totally entitled to make that clear.

At the same time, you might bear in mind that there are plenty of fake/flaky subs out there too, so some Doms will want to cam / do voice chat relatively early because they're tired of providing entertainment for dudes pretending to be cute sub fems. But - even if you're comfy camming (and it's totally reasonable to say that you have a rule never to cam unless the other person is prepared to do so at the same time), there's no obligation to get your clothes off for the chap until you feel like you want to either.

A lot of online presences aren't real in any way; they're a front for something else -- a guy with a wife and 2.5 kids misrepresenting himself because he can't get what he wants in his real life, or he lacks a feeling of power in his real life, and he goes online to try to slake it.
A guy who pretends to be women in order to interact with other guys, for what? To avoid acknowledging that he might not be straight (god forbid!)?
Or people who just poke around and act silly online to see what they can get other people to do. They like to jerk other people's feelings around, or they just want to live out fantasies online without any intention, or any ability, to move beyond there.
There are a lot of people with very strange ideas about kinky folk, particularly submissive women -- that we're all oversexed, desperate, dragging our tongues on the ground after any guy who points and says "Kneel Bitch!" Pfft.

I got a message yesterday that just said "I am going to ask you several questions; it is not your place to know why I am asking blah blah blah" -- I read it via the WONDERFUL hover feature that C-mail offers, and the first question was something sexual, and the whole attitude of the email was repulsive to me anyway, so I deleted it.

And yeah -- the guys without a functioning webcam, or who "don't have something to write with" or whatever -- they want you to jump through all sorts of hoops, but they aren't willing to prove their own identity with the same veracity. They have no pics whatsoever, but say "send me more pics," or "i'd like to see more of you" -- so? Since when is that my problem? :p

And you've got to love the dudes who claim there's some unwritten code of honor that all "real Doms" follow, and try to set themselves off from other wankers by saying that they follow it. Someone who is "well respected" in my local community was pulling that shit online, which is why I don't buy the whole "douchebags will weed themselves out in person" line of thinking -- no they won't. If they're predatory, they tend to have a way of insulating themselves with a circle of people who are hypnotised into believing they're decent guys. That's what this guy did. There's a concept called "Predatory Leadership" that people need to become more familiar with before they try to set up the "real-life community" as some sort of litmus test of a person's goodness.

You've basically learned the first lesson of being a girl online.

Status: offline 		I have no problem turning on my cam to show that I am real.  I do have a problem with some random guy who is thousands of miles away telling me to do something or not do something as the case may be.  One who can't even prove that he is real.  I have to laugh.  It is funny to me.  I know that there are a ton of posers and I've dealt with my fair share of them and have been blamed for others.

Status: offline 		I don't really know why it happens, maybe they're way to in the closet to be willing to do anything in real life or have a significant other already and are just looking for some fun. I don't know, what I can tell you is that I met my girl here and we've been together almost 4 years. So it does happen though another thing that people recommend if you're finding the internet dating scene kind of flaky is to try meeting people in real life. There are munches and fetish events that you can go to, fetlife.com is a good way to keep track of what's going on in your area.

I think there are a lot of guys out there who would love to see you naked on a cam so they can get their rocks off. And no they won't chat a lot, after all it's hard to type one handed. But I wouldn't call them doms just because that is how their profile is labeled on the internet. As to the point of a dating site. I always thought it was to meet people you would eventually date. Not sure why you would be talking to someone around the globe for that, unless all you want is internet. If that is the case, maybe you should get used to the HNGs

Eh... I don't think this is a situation in which one can say, "Maybe you're just not willing to submit."  I would imagine there is something rather empty and demeaning about submitting to some random, nameless, faceless person who is quite possibly only doing this for a laugh at the original poster's expense.
