Birthers have some problems of understanding where we are today in terms of enforcing the law. They live in illusory country that does not exist any more. They are wasting time and energy. As the birth issue is concerned, in practice, it can not be  solved through present court system. What I would advise is to use the resources they have, conduct as good investigation they can, publish the results, and get over with it. The same applies for 9/11: no sitting government would admit what really happened, but the truth movement have enough resources to gather all available information. All witnesses possible can be interviewed and such. The same with Obama. In case he was not born on Hawaii, as he claims, it can be proven without a doubt. Many people who witnessed the birth are still alive. Calling birthers bigots is stupid. People who do it know nothing one way or another. Therefore, they are by definition bigots themselves.

It has already been proven, via the long form birth certificate.  And then there is the governor of Hawaii, who was a family friend at the time of Obama's birth.

I cannot believe we are going through all this again.

The man provided his short copy for elections. Good enough for everyone else... but Obama was demanded to give more, even though the rules governing elections do not require more.

What was demanded was the copy that the hospital fills out. I used to have a copy of mine, I can no longer get one from the state of NY. Hawaii no longer gives one out. Most states give out two forms... long and short copy.

Personally, I think these suits are frivolous.

I totally agree Tazzy.

MissAsylum -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/5/2012 7:37:31 PM)

I really cannot believe this has come up again. Really...why?

First hand expirence: Father was born in Germany to both US citizen parents in 1948, considered a natural born citizen

I was born in Portland Hospital, City of Westminster, London, England UK in 1989 to US citizen parents, considered a natural born citizen.

I have a SSN, my father has a SSN.

Why is this being made more complicated than it really is?

Because they have no plans and no solutions for any real life issues.

farglebargle -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/5/2012 9:02:23 PM)

They're not interested in issues or solutions. Anyone who is still peddling this birther nonsense is a nitwit worthy of only derision and scorn. A hearty chorus of "STFU Idiot!" should greet their meekest pronouncements.

MissAsylum -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/5/2012 9:17:21 PM)

Somebody should really get on that time travel idea so that people can go witness the birth of Obama.

But somehow....that may not be enough for some.

It just dawned on me that if you weren't alive at the time of the adoption of the Constitution, you can't be president.

Since NO ONE was alive at the time of the adoption of the Constitution, no one is eligible for president.

Glad we got that cleared up.

If you had to choose between mittens, not-mittens Santa, not-mittens Paul and soon-to-become-not-anything Rick P, you'd be pretty keen to change the subject too! [:D]

~FR

Here is a significant question... but I bet some wont realize why. Was Obama's mother, Ann, legally married to Obama's father?

It never really went away. The racists who cannot accept a black man as President were not put off by Obama releasing either version of the BC and put up completely bogus "analysis" of both "proving" they were both "forgeries" within hours of each being released. That they were clearly full of shit and racists of the most base sort was about all they really proved.

i'm afraid that is not correct, he is considered a "natural born" citizen because at least one of his parents is a us citizen. the fact that both are is immaterial, all that is needed is one citizen parent.

Birth Abroad to Two U.S. Citizen Parents in Wedlock

A child born abroad to two U.S. citizen parents acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under section 301(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) provided that one of the parents had a residence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions prior to the child’s birth. The child is considered to be born in wedlock if the child is the genetic issue of the married couple.

Birthers (like Truthers) cant except reality, fact, evidence, or common sense. Their arguements fail to past even remotely the 'burden of evidence' that is needed. The President was born in Hawaii just two years AFTER Hawaii was made the 50th state of the United States of America. In additional:

A) ALL those alive that witness his birth ALL state he was born in that time and place.

B) There is a declaration in the local newspaper of his birth. There is a birth certificate (the long form) in existance that has been shown and verififed as authentic.

C) The US Goverment has investigated this through several agencies (CIA, FBI, NSA, ICE, and the folks that actually run the election process).

D) Several groups within Hawaii have shown the evidences is true by their own fact finding missions.

E) The Governor of Hawaii (who was Republican at the time) checked the information.....TWICE....and concluded Mr. Obama was born in the United States of America.

The birthers do not have a 'leg to stand on' as the phrase goes. Their bigotry comes up not just because the individual in question is black, BUT, because they have done NOTHING towards Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney's dad was born in Mexico (when his grandfather fled the USA to avoid the law regarding poligamy), yet Mitt was born in the USA. Not one person in the birther movement has really come forward and demanded the birth certificate from Mitt Romney. Heck, they havent done it for ANY of the GOP wannabes. That alone under cuts their credibility (not that they had any to begin with.....).

farglebargle -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/6/2012 2:44:48 PM)

Just call them nitwits and move on. Bothering to respond to their accusations only legitimizes them.
