WASHINGTON -- Disbarred District of Columbia attorney Montgomery Blair Sibley, who wants to start a medical marijuana cultivation center in the nation's capital, is running for the White House.

Sibley, who is a former lawyer for the late "D.C. Madam" Deborah Jeane Palfrey and wrote a book about Palfrey's "judicial lynching," announced his write-in candidacy in a blog post published on Friday:

I, Montgomery Blair Sibley, scion of the Blair Family whose ancestors first called the anti-slavery Republican Party to order at its preliminary convention at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in February 1856, represented Dred Scott and from whence the Blair House gets its name, announce the commencement of my campaign as a Write-In Candidate for President of the United States. Quixotic as it may appear at first blush, given the vagrancies [sic] of the Electoral College system, I could be elected President with only 13% of the nation-wide popular vote cast in 26 select states and the District of Columbia as detailed in the attached chart.
There does not appear to be any "attached chart," but Sibley does have a clearly laid-out platform: It centers on D.C. voting rights.

He's also calling for the strengthening of "the rule of law" and the repeal of the 17th Amendment, which allows for executive appointments to fill Senate vacancies. Additionally, in a move that could lose him the Tea Party vote, Sibley wants to expand Congress to 10,000 representatives.

On Tuesday, Sibley filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia against President "Barrack" Obama. The misspelling is ironic given the nature of the suit.

The suit seeks a judgment "ousting Obama as President of the United States and/or preventing him from holding the franchise of being on the ballot for that office in 2012 insomuch as he is not a 'natural born Citizen' of the United States as required by Article II, sec. 1, of the U.S. Constitution." In the suit, Sibley presents the evidence that he is a natural-born citizen, and is eligible to be president. He is asking for a jury trial.

Other "birther" suits have been denied on standing grounds, meaning that the courts have found the parties bringing the suits haven't shown they'll be personally affected by the outcome of the case. In his complaint, Sibley argues that because of his own run for the presidency, he does have the requisite personal connection to the suit's outcome.

According to online court records, President Obama hasn't yet responded to Sibley's complaint.

Sibley says on his blog he will not accept contributions for his campaign. He asks instead that supporters buy his D.C. Madam book, "Why Just Her," and spread the word of his campaign.

"Additionally," he writes, "you can follow my blog. That way you can keep up with what will be an interesting campaign, I can assure you."

Lets see, Obama produced his birth certificate once during the primaries, once during the election and again after he was president, HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES DOES HE HAVE TO PRODUCE THE FUCKING THING YOU BIRTHER IDIOTS?

Lucylastic -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/6/2012 5:19:23 PM)

Until they get to see video of the birth
which is obviously NEVER

tazzygirl -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/6/2012 5:20:07 PM)

When the courts stop entertaining these suits.

Lucylastic -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/6/2012 5:21:05 PM)

heh, lawyers not make money ???
yeah, Ill stick with NEVER

tazzygirl -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/6/2012 5:24:40 PM)

The courts dont make money. Only the lawyers do. How many cases do they refuse to hear already?

Lucylastic -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/6/2012 5:32:46 PM)

That wasnt my point

tazzygirl -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/6/2012 5:50:49 PM)

I know, Babe. Lawyers will keep shoving the suits through as long as they get paid.

My point was it will come to a halt once the courts refuse to hear these cases anymore.

quote:

A) ALL those alive that witness his birth ALL state he was born in that time and place.

B) There is a declaration in the local newspaper of his birth. There is a birth certificate (the long form) in existance that has been shown and verififed as authentic.

C) The US Goverment has investigated this through several agencies (CIA, FBI, NSA, ICE, and the folks that actually run the election process).

D) Several groups within Hawaii have shown the evidences is true by their own fact finding missions.

E) The Governor of Hawaii (who was Republican at the time) checked the information.....TWICE....and concluded Mr. Obama was born in the United States of America.

The birthers do not have a 'leg to stand on' as the phrase goes. Their bigotry comes up not just because the individual in question is black, BUT, because they have done NOTHING towards Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney's dad was born in Mexico (when his grandfather fled the USA to avoid the law regarding poligamy), yet Mitt was born in the USA. Not one person in the birther movement has really come forward and demanded the birth certificate from Mitt Romney. Heck, they havent done it for ANY of the GOP wannabes. That alone under cuts their credibility (not that they had any to begin with.....).

This is exactly what I am saying. Birthers should collect all the information, publish it and get to the conclusion based on available facts. They should explain why they reach this conclusion. If he was not born on Hawaii then show where he was born. There are witnesses as well. When Obama friend says something, it shouldn't be taken as truth when serious investigation is conducted. Long form certificate was highly suspicious of being fake. Nobody verified it. Where this joke came from? I downloaded it myself from the government site and I looked at it using Adobe Illustrator. Fishy. The government investigation in this case is worth nothing. The government lies most of the time. I am not convinced. Why Obama is not suing the birthers?

That`s actually the point, really. As soon as there`s an accepted answer, the smear dissipates and loses value.

But if the question is never meant to be answered by design, the smear never ends.

Seems like there`s so many sub-factions of the party trying to do their best to make the GOP insane/childish/lame/weird.

The birthers are only one of them.

Here is a significant question... but I bet some wont realize why. Was Obama's mother, Ann, legally married to Obama's father?
the question isn't significant at all. he was born in the u.s so he's a citizen regardless of the marital status of his parents.

i'm afraid that is not correct, he is considered a "natural born" citizen because at least one of his parents is a us citizen. the fact that both are is immaterial, all that is needed is one citizen parent.

Birth Abroad to Two U.S. Citizen Parents in Wedlock

A child born abroad to two U.S. citizen parents acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under section 301(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) provided that one of the parents had a residence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions prior to the child’s birth. The child is considered to be born in wedlock if the child is the genetic issue of the married couple.

read a little further.

A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) of the INA provided the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child's birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen, is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen, is required for physical presence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child.) The U.S. citizen parent must be genetically related to the child to transmit U.S. citizenship.

all having 2 u.s. citizen parents does is change the residency requirements.

If only president Obama had two parents that were US citizens, that would be a parallel but, the president's father was not a US citizen at the time of his son's birth (and I'm not sure he ever became one). So, president Obama only has one parent who is a US citizen. I'm not sure but I think that negates the "parents are Americans" argument of the new "native born" definition.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Miserlou -> RE: Bigotty bonkers birthers are baaa-aack. (1/6/2012 8:31:50 PM)

he was born in the u.s.!!!!! it doesn't matter what his parents' citizenship was!! he is a natural born citizen.

and even if he were born outside the u.s. it wouldn't matter, his mother was a u.s. citizen who had resided in the u.s. for 10 years including 5 over the age of 14 at the time of his birth and married to his father.

and even if they weren't legally married, it wouldn't matter because his mother was a u.s. citizen who had lived in the u.s. for a full consecutive year.

anyway you cut it, whatever bizzarre scenario you want to invent, the result is still the same.

he. is. a. natural-born. citizen.

period, end of discussion, to speculate anything else is simply foolish.

understand?

In a bizarre twist, it may very well be. Their marriage wasnt valid because he was already married to another woman, according to various sources.
