In the vaguest sense, i think i understand what you mean.
my opinion and experience: my Master appreciates my intelligence, and ability to espress myself in an educated, eloquent manner. If this means that i'm expressing an opinion, i have that right, IF IF IF. IF it's the right time and place to do so. That's a BIG if. Usually, however, He EXPECTS me to give my opinion, my imput. W/we're building a life together, and my imput is valuable to Him.
my experience as a slave my be different than yours, however, since if i recall reading correctly, you are not a slave, but a sub. That is different, but at the same time, there is still a power exchange going on. If you are able to choose the right time and place, perhaps out of scene space, where you openly express your opinions, then that should be okay. But...well. There's still something to be said for being couth about it.
In a nutshell: it depends on the nature of the relationship you have with the Dom who you appear to be having trouble with. If it's someone that you have a longstanding agreement with, then i'd say that you should know when and where it's appropriate to speak your mind openly. If it's someone that you've just met? Then perhaps you should reevaluate whether or not you want to continue your contact with this person.
