Actually, having looked around at peoples profiles quite a bit, I've found that some people on CM actually DO like to have sticks up their @sses...or at least things that RESEMBLE sticks. Just an observation. :P

When I was younger and dumber I ran into a few "prosti-dommes" who were only in this for the wrong reasons. Sometimes I think we distinguish BDSM too much from the vanilla world. You have to be passionate about your job to be successful. Same thing applies with regards to the fetish world.

Also I have talked with many Dommes who feel there needs to be some sort of regulatory or governing body in BDSM. For example before You call yourself a Mistress you have to be trained in x amount of activities for x amount of time.

There are wankers who call themselves Doms. A lot of the comments here are from these morons, guys who are not well balanced, are probably social misfits or teenage boys trying to get a response. But then there are the emotionally sadistic doms, the ones that probably know - before the sub does, if she is a newbie - that they are not right for one another, and proceeds anyhow. When I was new, I became friends with a poly dom. I was very clear with him from day one that I was not poly and would never be. We developed an on line and on phone friendship, and I truly enjoyed him. And believe he enjoyed me as well. Then he told me he wanted to change; he wanted to stop being poly, felt he was too old to continue to live as he had. I believed him. My bad. We were together several times, and talked almost every day. He sent me tickets to fly to see him, and we seemed to have fun together, and care about one another. Long story short - guess what? He said he could not change, that he had tried. It really effected me for a while. I was new and dumb, and should never have believed him in the first place, should have realized we had different values. But he was supposedly the dom, and had been in the lifestyle 20+ years to my one. I will never know if he just wanted fresh meat, or if he tried to change and failed. Or something in between.

So "worst" for me is not the jerks - we can dismiss them. It is the doms who play with our lives and our emotions.

The worst Dom I met was the one I spent 7+ years with.........the one who swore on his kids he was divorced,  told me which county to look up his divorce in, etc etc.  (he was in actuality separated)  Not only was he the worst dom, but the best liar I've ever met.  *sigh*

Luckily, I've been in relationships with two very wonderful, but extremely different, Doms.

Online and a few dates have been another story-- had one who started messaging me a dozen times a day, even after I very clearly requested that he stop, twice. Then I got the classic turn around message that I was the "psycho sub." Block. The one who wanted me to put on a short skirt he'd brought to our first meeting and then get on the back of his motorcycle and ride around without a helmet. Then there's the ones who want you to tell them your "darkest" fantasies via messaging just so they can get off...for them I respond with "Bored now." And block them.

Then again, it is not so different from the vanilla world of dating. I've run across lots of shouty liars there, too. I've learned how to suss them out in a message or two.
