When we spend more money, we have to fund it. Not magically self-funding wars. Insurance mandates, however unpopular, are funding.

Think of the economy as a balloon. The government sucks cash out of it while the private sector blows money into it. Republicans controlled both houses: 46-48 81-87 94-06 minus the senate 01-02 when a senator became an independent. The bulk of our debt is theirs and remains so today, because they control the house today, they got no fucking plan, they are the definition of ineptitude and borrow and spend. They got no fucking plan. They got no fact. They got no ideas. They got shop-worn already tried debt inducing and job killing ideologies.

You keep harping on military spending as if Dems don't spend money on wars, which is absurd Admittedly though it would. Be great if freeloading welfare states like like Norway and Sweden et al carried more of the defense weight so we could relax some in that regard But imagine the map of the wold today without American military might Not just the Koreas and Europe and the South Pacific but Iraq would own Kuwait unless Iran owned it all, or the Soviets did Its a fantasy that our defense hasn't paid for itself many times over

Which is it???? We spend half the world's military budget. We patrol the world--we indeed ARE the world's policemen. That ain't cheap. Cutting taxes is not the way to pay for it, especially if you're going to increase that spending.
