We had an kitten we rescued that tended to be a little more agressive than we liked. We put up with the nips and stuff, but when he jumped up on his back legs and wrapped his front paws around my sons head and was trying to bite him, that was it. No second chances. He was destroyed the next day. Animals are welcome in my life as long as they uphold my principles - first, do no harm.

Status: offline 		I really don't want to harm the cat, cats do what they do and it's not his fault that his owner is one hell of a stupid bint, I'm just fed up with my cats being afraid to get in or out because the cat lurks outside and attacks, and being at the vet every other week, it's not only painful for my cats, it's also damned expensive. And dealing with the "marking" all around the house and on the car - errr, not very pleasant. Broke up a fight with a bucket of water, dried one of my cats off (was a bit sulky) but at least I got monster cat a well. Fucking bastard looks like Hitler, seriously, white cat with a ridiculous black mark on the head that looks like Hitler's side parting and the same psychotic stare...

Status: offline 		Hello, I'm in Europe, a cat beating up my cat or scratching me because I try to chase it away isn't going to bring out the pest control. I spoke to the RSPCA who know about the laws, they said there really isn't much you can do, a house cat isn't classed as a dangerous animal...

So I think I give the brilliant idea of reporting it to the authorities a miss and proceed with my own idea. Taking her to court would be a small claims court which would take months, I'm lacking the patience of dealing with this for months, plus taking a neighbour to court is maybe not the best idea, unless I want to install CCTV everywhere and risk the life of my pets, quite easy to throw a bit of poisoned meat over the fence...

Yeah...I think bringing her to court she would certainly know who to blame for that

Status: offline 		I'm not planning to harm the cat, hell, I even pay for the castration, other half has ordered the trap (oddly enough his Amazon account had the same hick-up last week and works fine now), I bought a can of tuna... I'm going to lure my cats in and close the cat flap, then put the cage outside (might reposition the bins to hide it nicely) over night once I got it, once I got the feline Hitler, I just drag the cage into the house through the back door (hopefully under cover of the night), next morning cage will leave through front door and under a blanket and we're off to the vet and hopefully he won't attack or piss around anymore. Hopefully he won't meow in a much higher voice, the owner possibly won't even notice a thing then...

I understand your frustration, but poison can end up in the wrong mouth. I say silently trap & disappear him to the humane society counties away from you.

Thanks Greedy, either I misread or wasn't paying enough attention. Sounds to me like no matter whether she traps/neuters the animal herself, or takes the fool to court, she may very well suffer consequences from irrational person. That's why I'm so big on the covert trap & disappear trick, providing she can do it without being seen by anyone. She certainly wouldn't want that to get back to the fool.

Which would be the more reasonable option, but also less legal.

The thing is that I am worried if I sue her (which would take months as it's "only" a few hundred I've spent on vet bills for the fight injuries so far), she would know it's me, but she had run ins with a lot of people who told her to keep her tom in the house or neuter him, so that is why I plan to hide the cat trap behind my bins, you can only see it then if you are actually leaving my house through the back door.

If I make the cat disappear, somebody else will have the same problem or the cat might die, not the fault of the monster cat, more the fault of the stupid owner, if I give the cat to the RSPCA and they do not find a home for it, the cat might end up being put down, again the wrong one being punished. So the trap being hidden behind the bins with tuna and then a quick trip to the vet, he comes back as it, it will hopefully do the trick.

i'm not going to poison any animal, I am worried that the idiot owner would retaliate by throwing poisoned meat on my property and poisoning the cats or dogs...
