Wow, 10000? Ron Paul didn't need a vice president pick (or any mainstream media coverage) to do that everywhere he went over the past few years.

If that were true you woulda thunk he could have got a few votes

So we compare Willard gladhanding an estimated (by his spinners) 10,000 people at a rally where people oogled at the guy in the magic underpants, to a 1,000 person $25,000 campaign fundraiser?  Is this supposed to be a data point on the laffer curve or what?

Musicmystery -> RE: Ryan Draws Big Crowds (8/13/2012 6:26:32 AM)

"according to the campaign"

Note the "journalists" didn't offer a number. When I wrote reviews, that was one of the things you HAD to do, estimate the crowd.

Sanity -> RE: Ryan Draws Big Crowds (8/13/2012 6:29:16 AM)

Thats okay mm

The estimates for the failed Obama rallies were from the Obama campaign

Same point. Want a "journalistic" report on my business lately? Just repeat what I say--it's incredible!

People are so gullible today. We have more information than ever before...and know less.

This is how he gets those big crowds under control.

subrob1967 -> RE: Ryan Draws Big Crowds (8/13/2012 7:40:21 AM)

Meanwhile President Obama holds a fundraiser in his home in Chicago, charges a measly $51 and still only 1/2 the room is filled... I'd say that was a far cry from Germany in 08.

LOL -- Your source is a Twitter post?

Coming from you, this means nothing... Besides it's NBC so it must be true.

HuffnPuff

The tweet came from a NYT reporter, but we all know the NYT has a conservative bias[8|]

LOL. If a reporter tweets "Damn, this coffee is good at Mimi's Cafe," that makes it news, right?

What a world.

mnottertail -> RE: Ryan Draws Big Crowds (8/13/2012 8:34:09 AM)

This tweet just in!

Ain't lookin pretty for Willard.

NBC "journalism" at its best:

quote:

(NBC Chief White House "Correspondent") Andrea Mitchell loses her voice while reacting to the Paul Ryan speech: "This is a base election. This is not a pick for suburban moms, this is not a pick for women."

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/08/11/andrea_mitchell_ryan_not_a_pick_for_suburban_moms_not_a_pick_for_women.html

This, despite photos proving throngs of women are showing up at these huge Romney / Ryan rallies...

mnottertail -> RE: Ryan Draws Big Crowds (8/13/2012 11:52:41 AM)

There weren't throngs of nothing at any of these, in fact in the first link in twatwaffles blog, it looks like a martian landscape.

DomKen -> RE: Ryan Draws Big Crowds (8/13/2012 12:00:33 PM)

Whatever people showed up must have been there to see the train wreck

servantforuse -> RE: Ryan Draws Big Crowds (8/13/2012 7:42:31 PM)

How many people would Joe Biden draw ? What a joke.

Owner59 -> RE: Ryan Draws Big Crowds (8/13/2012 8:02:59 PM)

Other than looking like he could be Mitt`s 6th son......the guy is a dudd.

His own party members are running from his legislation.....NOT a ringing endorsement.....[:D]

Saw one of the "big crowds" on the news, with a guy holding a sign saying "Romeny/Ryan...Dream Team....[sm=rofl.gif]

That, was NOT a swing voter who`s undecided.....That, was a cool-aid-tea drinker who is beyond help.
