ORIGINAL: OsideGirl Yeah, I think Red said there was proof that it was all fake. I can't quite say that, and, in fact, my current theory is that jade really did live. I know the following: 1. Lord Colm used to attend munches in Texas while CastleRealm was operational. People at those munches have gone on record as saying that he told them that he was in a long distance relationship with slave jade, who lived in Massachussets, and rarely saw her in real life. 2. jade (or the "jade persona") was sick and online *a lot* for years. One woman who emailed me privately, and is an active educator in her real-life local community, told me that she and jade played hearts online, did a lot of girltalk, etc. Her summary, more or less: "I never met jade in real life, so maybe she was fake. But, if she was fake, she was the best fake in the history of the internet." 3. No one has ever come forward as having met jade in real life. 4. I did a google search for deaths, obits, and death certificates for the date of jade's death, and two months on either side, and found nothing. I also searched on her (supposed) place of residence and found nothing. That information might not be online, because it was pre-WWW. The next step would be to hire a private investigator, which I'm not willing to do. But no one has ever produced any documentation that jade lived. So I currently tentatively believe that jade was a real person, who was more or less a shut in due to complications from lupus, and most/all of her experiences with D/s were from an online long-distance relationship. I have a vision of a lonely, sexually unfulfilled woman writing softcore porn essays and posting them to the net. So many fanciful ideas -- the Ancient Houses of BDSM, and so much more. Of course, it's possible that everything was Colm's imagination. He's still alive by the way -- he's now a BDSM event promoter in the SF Bay Area. He didn't respond to an email request I sent him about this topic.
