I think the objection is to stealing pictures from the internet depicting what you like to do, or using your ex as a model for this while you are seeking a new partner.

ResidentSadist has toys and boobage on his profile, but he totally carries it off. He uses them to highlight his wit and personality, rather than be the endpoint.

Heh... the authorities might disagree with that assertion. There are very specific rights regarding photographs which vary from locale to locale but I'm pretty sure none of them include a sub paragraph on slaves.

Status: offline 		Normally, I dislike a man's profile having pictures of women, most notably in vanilla sexual positions. I get it, you're not a virgin. I make an exception for showing off lovely kinky skill: rope work, needle play, suspensions, firecups, etc. I do not make an exception for showing off lovely kinky things. A snapshot of the private dungeon may be a point of pride. A bed covered in sex neither impresses nor offends.

I think most men who put a picture of their conquests are, knowingly or otherwise, trying to make females feel safe. "Well, she trusted him, that means he won't rape and kill me on the first date." Many times, a male is seeking a sister slave for his girlfriend/wife. In this scenario I would assume seeing the wife lends some credibility to his claim.

Here's what I really think is happening. Sluts classically condition men to certain behaviors by rewarding them with sex. All it takes is 1 or 2 women to see the girl in his profile and take that as a either a challenge to be kinkier, or an indication that he is fuckable and he will permanently think that is excellent girlbait.

Well. Men tend to have three types of pictures. The "I am handsome" face picture, the "I am badass cause I have all these toys" picture and finally the "I am really a badass no doubt since anyone can just buy toys but I'm real because I actually use them on this beautiful girl." These are in order of badass ranking. I have two such pictures of tammystarm both of really badass ranking.

My primary profile picture right now is of me and her. I am in front and she is bound in my bed in red high heels, white rope, high quality flogger, silk blindfold at the ready on the bed post. I am clothed, mostly. Clearly badass rank picture of the higher order. It is targeted toward women and men for different reasons. For the women it says I have a girl and what is a Dom without a girl and toys and since I have both perhaps I am a Dom, certainly more so than those guys staring into a bathroom mirror with nothing but aftershave on the sink. For the men it is "don't you wish you were me, you wank"? This is because guys like to do two things when around each other. We brag about ourselves and and insult the other guy, even our friends and so even our profile pictures do the same thing even if indirectly.

The second picture is of tammystarm alone in bubble bath with her shapely leg extended and toes pointed. This is a pose I had her do for my profile. She knows it is there. It's purpose is only for guys and it says "don't you really, really wish you were me"?

These pictures, truth be known, also remind me of what a wonderful woman she is to me and how beautiful she is.

It is hard to read but really one must go a stretch to think a guy with a beautiful girl bound in his bed needs to hold a sign that says "help" but I did chuckle when I read your comment.

I don't think that all it takes is a picture of me and a beautiful bound woman in high heels with freshly oiled milky white skin contrasting with the tastfully evil tramp stamp to prove I am a Dom. So, do you instead mean Janah is on something?

For the women it says I have a girl and what is a Dom without a girl and toys and since I have both perhaps I am a Dom, certainly more so than those guys staring into a bathroom mirror with nothing but aftershave on the sink.

I going to clarify my objection to be to men who only have pictures of their fantasies or exes, and none of themselves.

YOU may know there is a beautiful girl in the picture but what I see is a leg in the background which I did not notice until you called my attention to it. Oh, I think I see a shoulder as well.

Agree with OP about the lack of sense in lady pix on a single male's profile. Even if I can grok the point, the marketing doesn't work.

But it's worth saying here, too, that women do similarly nonsensical things in their profiles photos: the infamous I-will-take-a-photo-from-this-angle-because-I-don't-look-fat-from-here shot, for instance. This has always puzzled me because I am not sure what it is intended to do-- get the man to correspond with you? Fall in love with you over email? At some point, he's going to meet you, and will realize you're a heifer. There is really no good end to that situation, if that's not what he's looking for, and not what you advertised.

The same might be said for cosmetics, but you can apply lipstick as needed, while weight does not magically evaporate and rematerialize.
