Lucy, I love that this is an international forum, and that we get such an amazing diversity of viewpoints here. I understand that my country is the biggest and baddest player on the international stage, and that impacts the rest of the world.

When it comes to our domestic policies, and internal politics though, you're damn right that I really don't give a flying fuck at a rolling donut what the rest of ya'll think. Just go back to rioting over "football," or something.

If you did, you'd know that it's a long time since my country ran the commonwealth of nations, and that what goes under that name now is an alliance of non governmental national bodies rather than royalist serfs in colonial countries.
Of course, that's a difficult point for people who've spent the last two hundred and thirty six years bitching about King George to get their heads around...

I'm a Democrat, If Romney wins, I'll be worried about lifetime limits and pre-existing conditions and Romney choosing extremist right wing justices that will affect the Supreme Court for many years beyond one or two presidential terms.

How do you figure a Romney Presidency would be so disastrous in your part of the world, Polite? Granted, there is less foreign policy experience than I'd like to have on the ticket, and no military experience either, but we are talking about Moderate Mitt here, and with the economy being the number one concern, I like the combination of a successful record of executive achievement, with a budget wonk. Our countries trade back and forth a little, and a rising tide is going to lift all boats.

President Obama took the helm without a bit of experience either, and ain't it amazing how some of the crap he'd been spouting through the campaign went away, once they sat him down, and gave him the realities he had to work with? The same will happen with Mitt Romney, if the election booth deciders break the way they usually do.

A rising tide lifts all boats is from the dedication of a federal dam, not that some guy who has the fucking gall to slobber that tax cuts for business means jobs, when all his money is tucked into offshore accounts and other instruments not doing one fucking thing for this economy, as are all the others in that 'job creating' sector.

He doesn't have any record of executive achievement regards anything but filling his own pockets, and he damn sure ain't going to be looking to fill Americans pockets with anything other than his horseshit.
