Could be a great form of new tax income.

I hope so.

Previously, while it was technically legal, the lawmakers imposed so many restrictions on it that 80% of users went from legal to illegal from 2010 to 2011 (based on tax revenue figures). They required dispensaries to grow their own and killed off independent growers. They also required grows to grow only where zoning specifically allowed it, meaning that growers could be required to move upon rezoning.

Massachusetts voters approve ballot measure to legalize medical marijuana

People with debilitating medical conditions and permission from their doctors will be able to buy marijuana from state-sanctioned distribution centers starting next year. Voters overwhelmingly approved a ballot question that makes Massachusetts the 18th state to legalize medical marijuana. With 49 percent of the vote counted, 63 percent had voted in favor of the measure, 37 percent against it.

Ammo hell. You'll need Goldfish and twinkies for trade goods.

If someone is willing to kill, it's not hard to figure that she wouldn't be squeamish about disassembling the truth. You think I'm going to base my decisions on your say-so? LOL!

"Confiscating" is that code speak for armed robbery?
Why do you think you have any sort of "military superiority"?

Who knows, maybe for some of the same reasons nonsmokers think it's a good idea to tax cigarettes, or nondrinkers think it's a good idea to tax alcohol.

Do you have any validation for this mind numbingly ignorant post?
Have you a clue why cigarettes are taxed?
When has alcohol not been taxed in this country?
