ORIGINAL: SimplyMichael Considering the economic disaster Bush handed Obama, I think he has done okay, but his policies are clearly very middle of the road. He stabilized the status quo, saving banks and wall street is hardly socialism. I think the rights media organs have polarized the debate in order to facilitate public blindness to the robbery that is going on. Taxes shifted to the middle class, profit taking by banks and wall street, subjugation,of our economy to china by and for the financial classes that would sell us out for a slice of the chinese market, ala wallmart. The republicans should own the unions and the working middle class but they dont. Their social and econ,ic policies war on both and enough in both groups see through the Fox fog. "Buy American" and "hard work" are trademark Republican slogans but they are both false and hollow. That part is what I cannot see, as to why anyone supports the corporate GOP, save for the immense amount of political money they provide. Even the small and medium companies are looted by these amoral corporate pirates in so many ways, and they are the ones having the United States in oil wars and such. While some here have said the GOP should drop the religious reactionaries, the better move would be for the GOP to dump the oligarch and patrone GOP, in spite of their monies they provide.
