Because it will give politicians the cover they need to give tax breaks to the rich. Both sides will claim victory. Rah, rah!

Your assessment of the political landscape is as flawed as your views on guns. There will be no tax breaks for the rich,the Bush"temporary" tax breaks will expire,President Obama is not horse trading here. He has no need to.

The 99 are paying FAR less taxes than they were in 1982...as a percentage. Yeah, the rich need to pay more (and they're eager to)...but so do those on the lesser scale. EVERYONE needs to pay more. The 1% got wealthy because the 99% got lazy...wouldn't educate themselves and then demanded some upper scale pay. Educate yourselves.

If it stops any law abiding citizen from purchasing or possessing a gun when they desire its the same to me. In most circumstances at least.
