...I dont pretend to have a clue as to what women think. What I do know is that each one of them is different so to ask a question such as yours is bizarre.

He's asking what women in general think about men in general, not what every single woman thinks is true about every single man. What's bizarre is that so few people understand what a generalization is, and what it is not.

On a tangent, I wonder if there's any list of characteristics that most people would agree are NOT displayed by one gender more than another.

I think there are a lot of them but I'm the type that feels there are very distinct differences between men and women and if I started rambling them off I'd be called sexist and against my own gender lol. So I'll just leave it be with yes....there are quite a lot of differences.

No, what I meant was, what traits do men and women share equally? ETA: For example, I would say neither gender has cornered the market on work ethic.

Dogs are adorable, cuddly, loving, caring, protective and loyal...I've yet to meet a man who has those qualities

I am sorry for you. Keep feeling that way and you may never meet one and live a lonely barren life.

hope you haven't bought into how the dominant lover doesn't exist, he's fantasy, at least according to the hallowed Internet.

Treat a man good, he's good. I've seen dogs who are paranoid, vicious and violent because of how men and women treat them.

I always have a problem with these generalizations...full of prejudice and presumption.

this wasn't a generalization, this is my experience.

"treat a man good, he's good" Where the hell did you come up with that crap encrusted gem? I worshiped my Ex-Owner, I would've (and did) done anything, been anything, given anything and said anything to him and it would've been the truth All I wanted was for him to be proud and happy. He chewed me up and spat me out then threw me away like a piece of trash. The saddest thing about that is that to this day, I'd still be all those things for him if he wanted me to be.

Id say he was more of a cat than a dog then.

OI! less of the dissing of cats! the only thing they chew up and spit out is mice, and birds, and the occassional ball of wool

and to the original postee, he was clearly scum, did not deserve you, did not value you, and should be shot like the rat he is!

(waits for someone to jump to the defence of rats now)

there are as many bad women as bad men my dear, have faith in your worth, take time to heal, a Dom should earn your trust before you give him your soul xx

I'm curious how you see men in general.

...I don't, really. They're all just different 'people'.

So maybe therein lies my answer, eh?

Frankly, it seems like sort of a cop out.

I'm sorry that that happened to you. But does that mean you think most men would do the same, or that most women are different?

Yep Yep I get it thanks for stating the obvious! My reply was and still is...if you ask 100 different woman what men are like you will get a 100 different answers the replies in this forum are proof of that. So it's truly a pointless question.

What part of that don't you get? BadOne

I read on another forum, recently, that women view men pretty much like people view dogs. That is, that men are big, smelly, rough and simple.

Is this correct?

That's right! It's right there in the "Top Secret Woman's Handbook" that every girl is required to memorize and sworn to never reveal the existence of to any male when she reaches puberty.

It is expressly forbidden for any man to know of it's exis.... oops.

I guess I need to call the Witness Protection Program.

Shit, a woman answered the phone.

I'm doomed.

On a slightly more serious note, as a submissive man, I think one could do a lot worse than be compared to a dog. Dogs are loyal to the death, obedient and loving. What more could one want?
