Maybe one built into the ignition so that you can't start the car if you're pissed?

If GE dont scrap it, and since it is experimental it falls into an NFA loophole possibly, but some brilliant engineer in their weapons division designed and built a minigun style weapon that fires the 50cal machine gun round at a very leisurely 7500 rounds a minute...

so naturally I WANT ONE

Something tells me you wouldn't feel safe if you have ICBM with 20 warheads ready to launch in your back yard.

Actually I am against nuclear weapons.

The reason I want this particular weapons is that the engineer who designed and built it did so after being inspired by the rash of zombie movies in the last couple of years. So he designed the perfect zombie apocalypse weapon.

And if an engineer believes the Zombie apocalypse is possible then it must be true....

If not I need it to secure six christmas presents I got.

Real0ne -> RE: How about Mandatory Drug Testing for Gun Licenses? (1/18/2013 12:06:48 PM)

So the acid head 24/7 pot smoker takes a 10 minute break long enough to buy one or several guns then never has to take the test again.

Fargs whole premise aside from expanding the POLICE STATE into a PRISON STATE with extra completely useless expenses to further tap taxpayers is worthless unless you want to bring them in for piss tests all the time.

Now farg is that what you are suggesting?

Somehow I doubt he wants it because he thinks he needs it to feel safe. But you do make a good point and, I think, offer an illustration. We'll never be safe from idiots.

If you were required to smoke pot 24/7 in order to own a gun, we'd have a lot less of a problem.

Uh, Kirata, a good friend of mine got me six 2 liter bottles of 75 year old single malt scotch. I need the weapon to protect the best booze money can buy.

No, that's in case it's not a deer. [:D]

Seriously though, as far as handguns are concerned, NY cops carry sidearms with 15-round mags. They didn't used to, and they complained because the thugs had them out-gunned. Why put a citizen at the same disadvantage?

K.

with some 200 million fire arms in the public domain and it is growing...does not sound like citizen are at a disadvantage to me.

Because part of the cops' job description is that they're expected to take part in shootouts with the thugs, whereas citizens aren't obliged to do that, unless they happen to be Charles bronson in a crappy film?

or if the thug has broken into their house

How's a fifteen shot magazine any better than the six bullets in a revolver in that case?

1 see the lady in Ga shot the guy 5 times and he lived if there had been two she would have been up the creek
2 better to have 9 left than to come up 1 short
3 why isn't 6 good enough for an officer after all he is a "highly trained professional" surely six is enough for him

In the Roman Empire, the first emperor Augustus provided the 'congiaria' or corn dole for citizens who could not afford to buy food

"Corn Dole"? Really?

Are you so totally unaware of history as to not realize that the ancient Romans never saw corn and therefore could have had no word for it?

"congiaria" is a word that referrs to types of grain does not mean corn as we know it. Again if you have some problem with this take it up with Augustus, not me, I am only quoting him.[sm=rolleyes.gif]

From the Oxford Dictionary
Definition of corn
noun
[mass noun]
1British the chief cereal crop of a district, especially (in England) wheat or (in Scotland) oats: fields of corn

Corn originated in the Americas and did not exist in the old world prior to the Spanish explorations just after the voyages of Columbus.
To say that any latin word spoken by Augustus means 'corn' shows a severe lack of knowledge of the era.

I thought you had multiple graduate degrees. What the hell are they IN?
Wooden sword manufacture and fantasy literature?

Well also shows you lack of comprehension...and I don't play with wooden swords, I perfer "Live Steel"

I've never heard of them. Are they a new band? What kind of music do they play? And what does "perfer" mean?

No, it shows I'm actually familiar with history and know how to recognize those who lack knowledge but do so loudly enough that they think they might fool someone.

As for your "perfer(sic) live Steel" comment, [sm=rofl.gif][sm=rofl.gif]

You are going to have to pay the $175.00 that includes Preview Night to get into Comic-Con and good luck getting the ticket. How many times do I have to tell you you are not getting a pass.

I'll humor your off topic comment.

'Teh' is what several members of what has been referred to as 'the mean girls' posse used instead of "the".
It was a dig at them as well as those in charge who say that I can't refer to a purely theoretical someone who is incapable of either proper writing or reading comprehension as "illiterate". I can't refer to a theoretical someone who, for instance, has no knowledge of history or science as 'ignorant. I'm also not allowed to refer to someone who can't interpret a simple graph as 'innumerate'.

Heck, I can't even refer to a theoretical person who claims to be things he isn't as a 'liar'.

All would be the truth but they are not allowed here because some theoretical person has apparently in the past whined long and loud to 'teh mods'.

Know anyone like that?

As for your comment on "Adria" How can someone be a 'member' of a coastal Italian town?

Proof you not a member of Adria (and I don't mean an town on the Italian coast, a word can have more than one meaning)..otherwise you know what I am talking about... ignorant you can't even look up a word in the Oxford Dictionary....and you use slang...shame on you...
