You replied post 229# said Biological warfare too.

Yeah yeah I said control in my intial post and not invent.......we didnt do either.

Stop strawmaning and playing on words and explain how Ecuyer carried out instructions from a letter that hadnt even been written.

I seem to be more familiar with England's history then you are. That is a sad statement regarding your educational system.

So stop trolling and start a thread about Belize to show me where I am wrong.

It was your fellow English who wished to discuss local reparations to the Indians, I merely instructed him on where to begin.

So you admit either I nor any other poster did not claim the English invented biological warfare.

Jeeez Polite, give it up already...

Officers at the besieged Fort Pitt had already attempted to do what Amherst and Bouquet were discussing, apparently on their own initiative. During a parley at Fort Pitt on June 24, 1763, Ecuyer gave Delaware representatives two blankets and a handkerchief that had been exposed to smallpox, hoping to spread the disease to the Native Americans in order to end the siege.[64] William Trent, the militia commander, left records that showed the purpose of giving the blankets was "to Convey the Smallpox to the Indians." Well, to name just one thing - that you've just nicely demonstrated, Wants - having non-Americans around does serve to remind Americans of what English is meant to look like.

I do NOT speak english or american, I speak southern, and Texan.

To continue, my state of birth was not a part of the British colonies, therefore nothing they did back east, with the exception of North Carolina, really has anything to do with my family. Besides if the Scots/Irish had not ventured into the mountains of western North Carolina and intermarried with Cherokee women over the generations, I would not be here.

Now as far as Brits giving blankets that had been exposed to small pox to Indians, may I point out that the Spanish had introduced small pox to the Americas in the 1500's, so by the time the Brits built the fort where the incident happened, small pox had pretty much covered the northern and southern continents.

As for demanding repatriations, I hate to tell you people this, but the UK, France, Dutch and Spanish governments cant afford to pay to collectively go to the bathroom, so what do you want in repatriation? A Rolls Royce, the company is owned by Volkswagen.

To be fair, the notion that war has rules, much less rules of fair play is counterintuitive.

But when you are surrounded by the armies and navies of empires that have you vastly outnumbered and outgunned, and defeat means torture and rape and slavery for all those under your protection, you sharpen your arrows, and use whatever means is available to send them back to where they came from... Hell, or across the ocean.

yeah i wonder what it would be like facing situations like that, if defiance to tha end is the only moral choice.
