ORIGINAL: DaddySatyr If the witness was deposed, it was under oath. If there was a statement, under oath, that was false, the defense has all the ammunition they need to discredit that particular witness . From what I've read, this witness is the most damning one to Zimmerman so if the witness can be shown to have a "fluid" relationship with truth under oath, that just may be the ballgame. Peace and comfort, Michael From what I've seen, heard and read...the witness in question was Travon Martin's girlfriend who claims Travon called her using his cell-phone just before the deadly incident occured and she heard him saying "Get off me...Get off me.", implying Zimmerman was on top of Martin. If she's the witness in question and the defense can prove that she lied under oath about something else then, per jury instructions, the jury can assume she lied about anything/everything else.
