You right it is very sad. But I am a bit confused about why you called it a campus shooting. while he did end up on campus, he started at a house and nothing in the story implied it had anything to do with the college. I think the whole situation is bad enough without trying to make it sound worse.

Status: offline 		I have given up thinking there will ever be rational thought about guns in America. It is an impossible situation with no solution. We are a selfish people that are not willing to give up some rights to stop or lessen the human toll of gun deaths by accident or insanity.

So I hope the thread does not go down that path… we have been there too many useless times.

When the details come out I’m sure we will find another mentally ill human that managed to obtain a weapon yet he, or friends and family, could not obtain the medical help he needed to prevent this tragedy.

I try… I really try to understand people that demand access to efficient killing devices yet refuse to allow the proper checks to insure the mentally ill cannot use them to kill themselves and innocents. At the same time refuse to fund medical treatment for the mentally ill.

It is the same mentality, and often the same group, that is against abortion yet at the same time against birth control.

Fuck...it is hard for a patriot like me to admit that at times I am ashamed of my countrymen...and hell... ashamed of myself for not trying to do more to right this wrong.

he reported it as the news is reporting it.. a campus shooting... because shots were made on campus.. people were killed on campus.... the man hijacked a car and forced the woman to drive him to the campus....

Taking your assessment, the shooting at Sandy Hook wasnt a school shooting because his rampage began in a house as well.

I dont see how stating where it ended up makes it any worse. The headlines at the time said six dead in campus shooting, so you need to phone them and make your point.

OK, why are people carping about whether it was a campus shooting or not?

The last two mass murders where initiated before the gunman ventured onto any elementary school or college grounds.

Can we not recognize progress, here?

It may have been although the accounts sound like he went someplace were the cops would find and kill him quick. Also there seems to be an accomplice whom ne may have met at the school.
Facts are too jumbled to be sure about anything except there are 4 people and one monster dead.

Thats why its called "breaking news" ffs.
