Surely you arent saying, after all this talk of "illegal" this and that, that our laws should be ignored. Children, except for those of diplomats, born on US soil have always been US citizens.

These people are hard-working, law-abiding (for the most part, obviously) people who happened to become criminals (invaders?) as soon as they crossed our borders illegally. A dictionary could educate one as to the meaning of the word criminal and invader. quote: I'll ask again: why should they benefit from their crime? Any vote would be gimme vote- aimed at obama phones, and food stamps. Puerto Rico no longer wants to be a state- they get more benes by being a possession- so why should they have to pay the IRS?

By the logic you just showed, none of us have a vote. Only the state legislators count. My point was that Cali has so many illegals and noncitizens that they have 11 or so more electoral votes than they would if only citizens were counted and those 11 votes unerringly go for the democratic candidate the last couple of decades. Anyone who was on "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" could get that one without even using one of their cheats.

I never thought about the impact on the census...interesting...I'm surprised Republicans aren't raising hell....I wonder though if this is not evened out by states like Texas and other republican strong holds with large illegal work forces? Butch
