rofl   got bad knees so I can't bowl but I do throw knives and hawks.   I also sword fight with steel.   I shoot at Engineer Stakes (you know those little stakes that they put all over construction sites).   I buy them by the bundle and stick them in the desert and kill them little suckers.  LOL

Call me crazy but if someone is seriously physically threatening me or mine I can honestly say I would have no problem blowing a large bloody hole in them. If they deem the life they are threatening to be unimportant I reserve the right to reciprocate.

my house weapon I keep every other round snake shot (acts like a mini shotgun) and every other round a hollow point (goes in tiny come out and they are missing a huge chunk of back)

:-)

At last a gun-owner with a sense of humour. According to my poll you make up for ... 0.1% of them all so far.

Bravo!

Crazy or not, I want someone like you at my back in a bad situation.  I'll note the most people did stay in the class and we got uniformly glowing evaluations at the end of the course

rofl   being retired from the military I sometimes refer to myself as a hired gun.   Works especially well when the liberals from cali see me walking around my home town carrying.  They just turn all white.

Thats okay kittin, wouldn't it suck if we all were exactly alike? I believe the differences keep us balanced as a whole.

I find a society that will go to the shops with a gun in their pocket a very sad one. I understand that gun culture over here in the uk is different to that of the usa but come on. A world where you carry a gun even to go grocery shopping!!

Florida is an odd state.  One can have a concealed carry permit, but the piece must be concealed.  If someone even detects the outline under your jacket, you can be charged with "brandishing," a crime, even if your CCP is valid.

Another example of "don't tell."

You sure spend a lot of time being sad.  Don't worry, someone will come along eventually and cheer you up.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit as i'm sure you already know.
It does make me sad that people feel the only way to protect themselves is to carry a gun.
Just a shame you cant see past your opinion and maybe see the alternatives to living in a society like that.

Here in AZ they took a survey   85% of all adults carry weapons.  Most have concealed permits.   If you can get a weapon legally, you can get a concealed permit for like $85.   I usually don't carry my weapons, makes my pants fall off my round belly - lol     when I do they are usually in my shoulder holster.  Our community has about 19,000 in town anothe r19,000 surrounding it and very little violent crime.   Even the gangs that tried to move in here moved out in 30 days.

You say 85% of adults carry a gun like it is a good thing?

We don't have gangs.   We don't have graffiti.   You can still go away for a month and leave your house unlocked.  The punk kids hold doors for me and call me sir.   Good thing?   I think so

I understand that concern and agree.......to carry one around with you all the time is a tad paranoid and makes me wonder what on earth a person has been doing to need such. However I have been at points in my life where it was necessary to often keep a firearm close at hand. Primarily due to the lack of giving a shit by the local law enforcement. I have also had to travel alone to places that law enforcement did not provide adequate protection and I prefer to not be a victim. I have also hunted for food using a gun.
I do not believe that making the act of owning a gun illegal will keep them out of the hands of violent criminals. I doubt many of the gun toting criminals are liscensed to carry them or have purchased them legally. It is an age old argument for which there are many gray areas, some I agree with and some I don't. It is really not a big hot button for me, the world would not come to a grinding halt if I had to get rid of my guns. They are just part of the life I grew up with. My dad used to take us target shooting, I enjoyed it, I still do. (never much cared for bowling though...) I have unfortunately had instances where I have protected myself with a gun. Call it bad local law enforcement, call it barbaric.........it would be wonderful if there was never a need for brute force anywhere in the world and we could all get along. Unfortunately we are not there yet. Maybe owning guns is contributing to that...maybe not. I don't know. Until I am convinced of a reason for getting rid of them I am keeping them.

you would rather carry a gun than have graffitti in your area???????
I think you need to reaccess your priorities there.

The point is we don't have much crime which seems to have slipped past you.  Maybe it is because the criminals are afraid of us law abiding people.   Or are you one of those that say it is better to have your teen daughter multiply raped and given aids by the punk gang bangers ( you know the people that use graffitti to mark where you are allowed to travel) than protect her.
