Nope. He got them from being hit against something. A stick on the ground could have caused the same injury before they ever hit the concrete.

O'mara: So you were asking him (GZ), if he was white, would you have reated the same way? And he said yes?
Serino (lead detective- the STATE'S witness): Yes sir
O'mara: Did that cause you any concern?
Serino: No (and a "no" headshake. Definitive body language).
O'mara: Think he was being straightforward?
Serino: Yes (and a "yes" headshake)
O'Mara: Any evidence in your investigation to suggest differently?
Serino: No

Seriously.
This is persecution

And last question of the day before recess...

O'Mara: Do you think [George] was telling the truth?
Serino: Yes.

Defense pulls yet another win.

Did ya ever think T got a shot in, popped Z in the nose, Z went down, popped his head?

FFS, you guys make it sound like a 158 lb kid was pile driving Z's head into the pavement.

Yes as Martin jumped on top of him. It would seem to Zimmerman that Martin was driving his head into the ground. I have stated repeatedly (in other threads) that I see this as a great tragedy, not a crime.

Yep, George had way too many bumps and bruises on his head to be just a single impact. Singleton actually asked him if that was the normal shape of his head, it was swollen so badly, and she pointed out the next day how much the swelling had gone down.

truckinslave -> RE: Zimmerman Trial - LIVE (7/1/2013 3:17:38 PM)

If this is their evidence, and their witnesses.... they sound like defense witnesses

I've said since the beginning that unless forensics disproved his story, it was a bullshit case
Forensics does not disprove his story

DaddySatyr -> RE: Zimmerman Trial - LIVE (7/1/2013 3:20:08 PM)

O'Mara: In the course of your interview, did you tell Zimmerman that someone had video taped the incident?

Serino: Yes

O'Mara: What was his response?

Serino: "Thank God. I was hoping someone captured it"

O'Mara (after a bullshit objection from the prosecution): What did his response indicate to you?

Serino: That he was either telling the truth or he was a pathological liar

O'Mara: Do you think he was lying?

Serino: No

"Ladies of the jury; seeing as how all the physical evidence, the lead investigator, and all but one witness (Who believes that racist statements aren't racist) concurs with Mr. Zimmerman's statements, the defense rests ... even before the prosecution is finished with it's bullshit case."

That would be my closing, thus far.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Considering the jury is made up of 5 white women and one hispanic, and the only other person of "color" is a hispanic male as an alternate, yes, I do think its stacked. Like OJ's was. I also think many of those women think like I do. The jury decision will determine if I am correct. [;)]

So does this mean you think the jury is stacked against Zimmerman?

tazzygirl -> RE: Zimmerman Trial - LIVE (7/1/2013 3:21:07 PM)

Against? Cant say. Stacked? Yes, in much the same way the OJ one was.... by stupidity.

Thank you for clearing that up.

You do know how they fucked up in that case, yes?

truckinslave -> RE: Zimmerman Trial - LIVE (7/1/2013 3:26:03 PM)

I'm certainly no expert on courtroom tactics, but it seems to me that when the State rests, and the Judge asks the Defense to present their witnesses, O'mara could say:
"The State already did that for us, your Honor. The defense rests"

In the first trial?
They did everything wrong highlighted by that stupid glove display.
They charged a famous person.

Yes at this point a directed verdict would seem to be in order.

I've seen defense attornies do that, twice. A 50% result for the defense. It's risky but, this is starting to look like they might be able to do it, here.

On a side note: Grrrrr @ having to watch on CNN and see that idiotic "Lean Forward" bug which clearly shows the world their impartiality.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

I understand that in some states the defense can make a motion for a directed verdict (not guilty of course) and if it is denied they then present the defense.

The jury closely matched the racial demographics of Seminole County. Seminole County is primarily white, then Hispanic, with less than 1/6 black, so we knew for ages it'd be a mostly white jury.

Yes. This persecution of Zimmerman is about over. The Fat Lady already sang, the eyewitness is on Zimmerman's side of the fence and what DNA is on the gun will not prove a damn thing since 1) Zimmerman is on the bottom of the altercation being beaten and 2)His head is injured and I don't know about you but my head is important and 3) He is not lying and so 4) The Law is on his side of this if 1 and 2 and 3 are true.

Nothing to see here folks, move along.

dc its just as usual...mostly it started as a political division between liberals and conservatives because this touches both gun law and race relations. Irresistible on these message boards.

In my opinion.
