ORIGINAL: NoBimbosAllowed LOL thanks for saving the bother, DomKen. That's what I meant RE 'are you refering to the balanced budgets the house sent clinton that he vetod, until they shut the gov't down until he agreed to sign a balanced budget, that lets dems now brag how clinton balanced the budget? '. Again, tah, DomKen. mentioning the year it happened doesn't point me towards these "clinton attempts at reform" you refered to. in fact clinton shut the gov't down by vetoing the budget bills sent to him, which he then later signed, thus creating the balanced budget dems like to brag about... but mostly I am curious to hear about these "attempted reforms" you imply they shut the gov't down to stop would those reforms be where he said, lets just raise taxes, that should balance the budget? The deal included no 25% increase in Medicare premiums as the budget originally included. A bunch of the insane social stuff got removed as well. Remember Newt talking about setting up orphanages for poor kids? OK so you are saying they comprimised on thier budget bill, that he eventually signed, I don't dispute this. but I am still wanting to hear about these reforms clinton attempted that its implied the shut down what meant to stop the only change I am aware of clinton proposed was to raise taxes, but I'd hardly call that "reform"
