Why? I have always believed that the Earth is reasonably Spherical, since God created the Earth he would know that also and if you're interested, which I doubt, that "ancient book of lies" that you like to mention, says the Earth is Spherical and did many centuries before the things your are talking about happened. (Isaiah 40:22)

Nope a circle is not a sphere, you failed geometry huh?

GotSteel -> RE: Evolution/Creation debate (2/18/2014 5:33:53 PM)

Do you know what a strawman is?

Let me try to explain the concept with an example;

The Christian religion isn't real.

If you think that Christianity exists how do you deal with the fact that Christians have to make human sacrifices every night because they believe the sun won't come up otherwise? Where's the mountains of dead bodies? Where are all the bloody altars? See you can't answer these questions because Christianity doesn't exist.

for what I could find the thing you named says:

quote:

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth,
and its people are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the heavens like a canopy,
and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

a circle is a plane figure while a sfere is another thing and is a solid, so no they didn't get it, by the way it would be impossible to spread the heavens on a sphere as at least a half would be without any heaven above.
Yep
[image]http://www.cgm-online.com/eiperle/images-hd-earth/earth-a-0995.jpg[/image]Obviously circle of the Earth means the earth is flat

GotSteel -> RE: Evolution/Creation debate (2/18/2014 7:42:40 PM)

You're not actually a Christian.

I bet you can't show me a single homosexual that you've murdered.

Actually I can answer all those questions, so what's your point?

altoonamaster -> RE: Evolution/Creation debate (2/18/2014 7:49:57 PM)

That is how Bible scholars determined that the earth was flat during the early dark ages arguing against the scientific, evidence based theory that the earth was spherical.

For some that may be true but then they wouldn't be Christians would they.

You can't answer my questions, all you can do is dance around and play games so Christianity is clearly a failure. It's such an obvious failure that I can't believe anyone would try to defend Christianity.

Where are all the dead homosexuals? You can't even point to one mass grave of homosexuals you killed can you?

You're funny.

Early Christian Church
During the early Church period, with some exceptions, most held a spherical view, for instance, Augustine, Jerome, and Ambrose to name a few.

The modern misconception that educated Europeans at the time of Columbus believed in a flat Earth, and that his voyages refuted that belief, has been referred to as the Myth of the Flat Earth.

I can answer all your questions, you have asked nothing that can't be answered. So stop playing this silly game and make your point.

There's no such thing as Christians.

Just another proof that you live in a fantasy world and have lost touch with reality.

Tkman117 -> RE: Evolution/Creation debate (2/18/2014 8:11:21 PM)

What is reality exactly? In your oh so intelligent Opinion?

Then answer them, I'm still waiting for the answers.
