So, while your statement is logically incorrect, I do agree that you cannot use the UK experience of gun control as evidence of gun control reducing murder rates.
But, it is true that gun-related crime has been falling year on year for a decade.
Murder rates generally are declining over time. Violent crime is currently in decline.
This is all based on data from the Office of National Statistics, so I'm curious about the source of some of the more outlandish claims with respect to murder rates, gun crime etc that have been made on this thread.
