Yes, it's a known issue.

What to do? If you can't connect with your local BDSM group, then online is going to take time and patience. I most strongly suggest only talking about vanilla things and no sex or cybering -- plan on meeting soon. Do not establish a dynamic until you meet. Be looking as strongly for vanilla compatibility as kink.

That right there will get you better results that anything else. Are you a member of BKS? We have some upcoming munches, one that's pretty close to where you live. They have a page over on Fet, you can sign up there, come on out and meet us sometime. While we tend to have a lot of TNGs, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Okay, I looked at your profile and I bet you get a lot of light blue mail. Am I right?

You have to think of this site as restaurant advertisement. Men get an idea of what they want to eat and they go eat it. However, in the buffet that is CollarMe, our /girls want to know what is being brought to the table before they buy. They do not rush in to be seated, they go scrutinize the buffet and explore the menu in all of it's depths.

You profile is Eat at Joe's... sorry, we have no menu, no food, nothing on the table, but come on in.


Now to the Master part. I have an opinion of Masters that is less than stellar around here, because it is my personal belief that without your /s you do not possess the synergy that defines you as such.

He makes a valid point though. A blank profile is likely to not attract the types of serious applicants you are hoping for, which makes it more likely that the mail you do get will not be what you wanted.

There's no need to get upset about that. Of course you can leave your profile blank, if you want to. It's just not working to your advantage.

One thing I hear subs consistently say they DON'T want in a Master is someone who sulks or lashes out, because it shows poor self control. Just FYI.

You've been here 2 whole years, and have yet to "get around" to filling in your profile?
Sure, you may call that a "I'm dominant and will do it whenever I feel like it" move, but to those
in your target audience, you come across as lazy.

Granted, I'm just a mere lil ol' submissive being, but even I knew the point that the Tyrant was making,
and most people would have thanked him for his insight, and for taking the time to help guide you on your way.

As for your shaking your fists at "The Lady"...really?

You cannot ask anyone to keep their opinions to themselves. This a a public forum, and anyone can respond. It seems as though you got very defensive very quickly when you got responses that were not what you wanted to hear.

You can "deal with" people in real life. Here? I suggest you take advice as you would like. Ignore what you don't like, and move on.

Btw. I looked at your profile as well. Being a female sub in your age range I am pretty much your target audience.
I would not respond to a D with "Master" in his screen name, nor would I respond to someone that did not fill out his profile. Just my preference, as this seems to screen out men that I would be completely incompatible with.

Ah, but expressing opinions is what we do around here.

If you don't like what someone has to say, you have the option of using the Hide button or not reading their posts.

New posters often get confused between the difference between attacking a post, which is allowed, and attacking the poster, which is not.

For example, someone said "that's lazy." That is talking about behavior, and is allowed. However, if someone said "you are lazy," that is a personal attack, and is not allowed, and you may use the Report button to create a ticket for staff to review and delete the post.

Mad math skillz. 40 - 23 = ?

If some guy comes on to me claiming 23 years of experience it can only mean that, at best, they thought
themselves a Master at 18 (giving the birthday benefit of a doubt here) and if at 40 they still believe
they were a Master at 18 it points me in the direction of a very low-sloped learning curve and hence,
I have no interest.

So, yeah, mad math skillz for sure.

It's not my fault that you didn't change the age on your own profile. That points to either lazy or lack of
care. Am I to understand that you don't actually feel that you were a Master at 18 then? Perhaps being
a little bit more literal may be of some help in finding what you seek or even a reword. Something like ..

"I've been exploring since 18 and have developed into the Master that I have always been destined to be
now at my current age of almost 42." It's much more honest and realistic viewpoint of what you have
presented. Explanation without having to bloviate who you are and what you have to offer to someone.

As for dropping math on me.. obviously I already have mad math skillz so I won't be copying from your
homework. You need my help way more than I need yours. That's why you asked the question in the
forums.. looking for the input of someone exactly like me.

A simple thank you would suffice and give you back some of the face you've lost. Up to you what you do
though.
