ORIGINAL: PeonForHer No, it doesn't, TH. His reading comprehension is fine. In fact, it's better than most people's, as I'm sure you realise. What's failing here is your standard tactic of casting so much withering scorn on someone's opinion that he shuts up and goes away. If a masochist's kink is to say incredibly stupid things in hope of getting some abuse, I might be up for a little casual play. Muse's reading comprehension sucks selectively, Peon. You should have seen him fly off the handle when I mentioned the engineering challenges of a clean energy project he had a hard-on about. Wild-ass, exagerated, mis-reported, and speculative claims, beyond what the prosecutors have come out with, have littered this thread. The overly emotional participants are flailing widely, unable to grasp that some might see this as a stupid tragedy, rather than the greatest outrage since Pearl Harbor. I found the hysteria funny, and said so. Assuming Muse had read the reports, and read the posts, he'd have noticed the litter. Hell, if it had been conservatives exhibiting the same behaviors on some other topic, he's perfectly capable of snarking harder than I did. It isn't a complicated thing here, Peon. A stupid kid was robbing a home for kicks, and got himself killed doing it. Sad. Maybe a Darwin Award nominee. Stomping feet, and spinning the rhetoric ever higher, isn't going to alter that fundamental reality at the very root of this killing. Seeing people do it might send me off to get ready for work with a grin, though.
