ORIGINAL: PeonForHer quote:
Being a Sydneysider, I am of course quite biased but I do believe that our reaction to this incident offers an example of how to respond to terrorist attacks that the world could do well to study and learn from. I can't see what the rest of the world could learn from Sydneysiders' reaction, Tweak. I see no discussion of new and exciting methods of torturing people, for instance. How sharp of you to recognise the flaws underlying my little bit of shameless self promotion. It is quite remiss of me to fail to spot the opportunity to indulge in some petty genocide - unforgivable really. And I have no excuse to offer for my inability to engage in minority baiting or dog whistling. Your point about torture is taken - surely this was a chance for some creative waterboarding under the expresso machine. That could have been an impressive bit of improvisation don't you think? The far fetched notion that by being nice to people, by standing beside and with them in their hour of need will be reciprocated in kind by a grateful group of [unacceptable word removed] with long histories of compassion towards infidels is clearly a lefty-liberal aberrationdelusion, possibly induced by too much time spent in the sun. It almost goes without saying that given an inch those eebil Mooslims will take a mile and demand on the introduction of sharia law as their quid pro quo. Yes it's true - the defence of our Western way of life, of Christianity Mum and apple pie - starts at our local Lindt Chocolate & Coffee shop. And if those nefarious eebil Mooslims dare to come between us and our traditional way of life, then by all means let's bomb them back into the Stone Age. Sometimes the old tried and trusted methods are the best aren't they? We wouldn't be where we are today without them would we?
