Ummm... which day does Mod 3's fluffy luvy clone stop by?

Never mind that, I didn't know Mod 3 has an EVIL clone. I'm scared!

Evil clone? perks up

I think there needs to be some clarification as to what would happen if we don't deal with it.

Which is why I want to know where the fluffy lovy clone is, what days it will be moderating, cuz there is quite a bit of hell that I intend to raise and I know exactly what it means when my evil clone is in charge, and not to sure what it means when 3's evil clone is in charge.

This is what it looks like when my evil clone is in charge:

And I am thinking with fluffy luvy Mod 3 it could look like this:

I'm not really about the skewered head kabobs and the other is a little too fluffy. Maybe mod3's evil clone is somewhere in between.

Hmmm... I wondering about the nature of the "lie". There are, and always will be, little white lies we tell the ones we love because we love them.

That's an odd way of looking at it.

Why would you need to lie to the ones you love? I can see telling lies to strangers when convenient or necessary, because you don't owe them anything.

But it seems that the closer you are to somebody, the more you'd owe them your authentic self, and the truth.

I don't understand why you'd tell somebody you'd love that you fundamentally don't trust them to be capable to deal with reality and thus deem it necessary to lie to them. And if you do fundamentally do not trust them to be capable of dealing with reality... then why exactly do you love them?

Edit to add: just to clarify... I do indeed do not lie to those in my inner circle. Like at all... ever... about anything. Not even 'little white lies'.

I have to agree with UI (and hello there, stranger!). I think the qouted post sounds dangerously close to the almost identical statements I've heard from so many unhappy, cynical people that goes: "Everyone lies. Deal with it."

As I said; I agree that there are very few people who practice absolute honesty but, why wouldn't you?

People know where they stand with me. I brook very little shit. There's an older guy that lives next-door to me. he's in his 70s, I guess.

Last winter, we got a 15" snowstorm and I spent 4 hours, shoveling out his handicapped spot (his wife is "handicapped") and, when I was done, his wife poked her head out the door and said: "Is that your silver car, there?"

I said: "Yes".

She said: "Please don't park forward of the tree, anymore."

The "tree" is about 4-6 feet from the property line but her husband is a dipstick, when it comes to parallel parking so, He's claiming from the tree to where his handicapped sign is (about 30 feet). When I talked to him about it, he told me that he, indeed, "needs" that much room because it's "difficult for me to get my car into such a small spot". Needless to say; there was no more shoveling of his parking spot.

So, this year, when the snow fell, I shoveled to the tree (on the sidewalk, also). He was shoveling also and he saw where I stopped. he asked if I was going to "finish" and I said: "You want the new property line to be at the tree, handle your property, pal."

I saw no need to kiss the man's ass and pretend that I was anything other than ambivalent - at best - to his wants and desires. He knows exactly where he stands with me.

I do not suffer fools, gladly and I see no reason to encourage them to further inter-action with me.

That said, there's also some positives; those people that I enjoy, that I care for, that bring joy to my life also know exactly where they stand with me. They get told on a daily basis. They also have a certain level of confidence that if my feelings or attitudes towards them change, they will most certainly know about it. They don't have to guess if they've crossed a line with me. They'll know.

firstly I don't hold sway that your star sign has anything to do with how you give yourself to another. I'm an aries, and I don't give my heart easily to anyone either.

I also don't think that the amount of time you've been involved with someone has any reflection on the depth of how you should/shouldn't feel for them, or your expectations of them either. After only weeks I knew how I felt about my ex. we were together for 16 years, but I knew from very early on that I loved him.

I have trust issues, and I know what I will deal with, and what I won't. this crap about 'lying to protect the other person' is just that, crap. it pisses me off big style to have someone project on to me what they think I can, or can not handle. fuck right off with that bullshit thanks very much. if someone respects you, has feelings for you, then they should just tell you the truth. what that usually means is that they can't deal with the truth, nor how they think the truth will affect you. they don't want to deal with your reaction, so they lie instead. for me it makes the other person look really weak, and it makes me feel really bad that they think so little of me. most people have a 'tell' when they are lying, and gut instinct also plays a big part in things that shouldn't be over looked. I did both times, and it hurt me more that I ignored the warning signs, believed the lies, and then found out I was right all along. I let myself down just as much as they let me down.

I have given both the last two men in my life one chance because everyone can screw up once. however, in matters of trust it's never the same again. when they both blew that chance it was easy for me. there is no way that I would ever trust another word that fell out of their mouths. without trust there is nothing for me. it's easy then to say goodbye.

sometimes it's not the subject of the lie that matters, it just the breach of trust. if that is what happened in this case then it probably can't be saved, and better to let it go now rather than try to patch it up, and always have doubts.

I look at it all like a set of scales. in one side is me, and the pain that the other person knows they will cause me by their actions/lies. they then look at the 'act', and decide where the 'act' is worth me, and my pain. the fact that the person has chosen the 'act' over me, and my pain kills me inside.

there is a saying about smashing a plate on the floor, then say sorry to the plate. did it fix the plate? no it doesn't. this is what lies is like for me. I have glued that plate back together again before, but it's never the same afterwards. the cracks will always be there no matter how good the glue was. further lies just smash everything in to dust.

give me the bleak landscape of your truth, rather than what you think is a paradise with your lies.
