Years ago when I worked in a shop, a young girl with long brown hair came in and asked if I would sponsor her to have her head shaved for charity. I honestly thought this girl was kind of stupid, and that she would look like a complete idiot. She wasn't very good looking in the first place, her face was kind of thin and spotty and unremarkable. I felt very sorry for her that she'd decided to do such a stupid thing so of course I sponsored her, to make it worth her while. A couple of months later a cute androgynous girl with short, soft, fluffy brown hair came in and asked for her money. I couldn't believe it was the same girl! She actually really suited the haircut - it made her look cool and edgy and sexy and kind of powerful. I was so impressed and I decided then that, sometime in my life, I'd shave my head, just for the heck of it. I've never seen a woman that looks bad with a closely clipped haircut, at any rate, no worse than the vast majority of men who walk around with such haircuts every day. To suggest that a haircut that is simple, flattering, convenient and stylish for men is just the worst thing that can ever happen to a woman is sexist and short-sighted. The truth is, both men and women can suit a range of hairstyles. It's laughable that people are screeching about how it isn't vain to love their long hair, and wrapping it up in all kinds of justifications about confidence and needing to earn money. Are men not confident with their short hair? Do men not earn money with their short hair? Why, exactly, do you think a woman would be unable to do the same? Of course it is vanity - not that there's anything wrong with vanity but, just like make up and manicures and heels and a whole bunch of other stuff we do to feel kickin' it can get in the way of our development as a human being, if we let it. I certainly see nothing wrong with stripping it all back and accepting yourself as a healthy human being first, and a human decoration second. I like to think that my boss hires me for attributes that lie inside my skull rather than outside it; if you genuinely might be sacked for having short hair, then what exactly does that say about your boss and your company and the profession you work in? What will they do when you get old and wrinkly and saggy, will then sack you then too? And, of course, we are only talking about consensual play here. So if it's a hard limit for you, then so be it. But there's really no need to slam someone else for their kink.
