Immigrants take a beating every time there is an economic downturn. We have not had any kind of reform since 1996 -- and that's 19 years ago. Reagan was the last President to offer folks a new pathway to a green card by waiving past violations and charging fines.
Past waivers to help jammed up immigrants stuck in no-man's land were passed to help families stay together from 1959-1981. Its now been 34 years since the US government offered anyone new pathways.
I kind of wish we could retroactively deport many of the assholes who oppose any kind of immigration reform. Take Ted Cruz -- he's the super poster boy asshole. His opposition to immigration reform is mind-boggling.

You're lying. Again.

The House acted to solve the ongoing crisis and passed bills that closely mirrored Sen. Cruz’s proposals, but regrettably the Senate Democrats refused to allow a vote on the measures.

The sad part is that those here that lean left accused the GOP of obstruction and blamed the GOP for a "do-nothing" Congress. Even though the House was passing bills, the GOP was at fault because they weren't passing anything the Senate would pass. Thus, the GOP had to pass "Democrat" bills or else they were the reason for Congress's lack of legislation. Forget there's a reason Republicans aren't Democrats. lol

Right, who would vote on that unconstitutional dogshit? It would solve no crisis.

This is because if it isn't your "reform" you pretend it isn't reform.

Another reason we need an orderly, lawful immigration system - The newly socialist Catholic Church has revealed that Mexico is infested with demons

Suspected as much. It is a sign that people don't want to accept that some people are inherently evil and search for an excuse.
