From the Daily Mail, RudeTrolls' favorite online news source:

quote:

'They rape us. We kill them': Yazidi singer forms all-female fighting unit to take revenge on ISIS for forcing their sisters into sexual slavery and beheading their brothers

  • 'Sun Girls' brigade was formed by the renowned Yazidi singer Xate Shingali
  • She has 123 recruits aged between 17 and 30 who all want revenge on ISIS
  • They risk being murdered or held as sex slaves if they are caught by enemy
  • Even the youngest recruit, 17, is not worried about being captured in battle
  • ISIS has abducted and abused thousands of Yazidi girls from northern Iraq

The women of an all-female Yazidi batallion is risking death - or worse - to fight back against the ISIS thugs who abducted, raped or murdered thousands of their people.

They were brought together by a renowned Yazidi s nger Xate Shingali, who formed the 'Sun Girls' batallion to take on Islamic State on the battlefield in Iraq.

If her troops are ever caught by the enemy, they will either be killed or, more likely, be held by the extremists as their personal sex slaves.

Even the youngest, just 17, brushes off that terrifying prospect, adding: 'Even if they kill me, I will say I am a Yazidi.'

ISIS kidnapped thousands of Yazidi women and very young girls when it stormed their villages in Sinjar province, northern Iraq, in August 2014.

Those who escaped from their clutches have told of how they endured unimaginable cruelty and sexual abuse at the hands of the ISIS fighters they were forced to marry.

I would have no problem with a permanent US military base in Iraq. In fact, it's likely necessary, considering the stability issues all over the region.

Particularly if we follow Trump's idea and make them pay for it.

Leftist trolls / ISIS faithful would find plenty of reasons to howl about it either way

if what Bush did after 9/11 and the illegal Iraq war is pertinent to the extremists and terrorists, giving them a reason/cause to hate the US, then yes, of course its pertinent today! (2015)..

Theyre kidnapping and torturing and raping and murdering Yazidis why, exactly.

Its unsound reasoning to try to blame Islamist atrocities on anyone other than the Islamists themselves

What i said was that Bush and the illegal Iraq war gave the extremists/terrorists a reason to hate the US & a cause against the US.. I never said anything other than that.. killing and atrocities were going on in Iraq back when the US was friendly to Saddam.. those are brutal countries but the US cant change them no matter how long US troops are there..

However, I do think the US is responsible for the deaths of translators and other people that helped the US in its war on terror and were promised asylum in the US but then the US reneged on its promises to those people and left them to their fate..

BS we, and no other country is ruled by the UN.
Annon is a fool if he thinks otherwise.
If the UN is the ultimate authority why don't they just tell ISIS to stop raping and torturing people? They are in charge of the world so that would take care of everything.

Annan is a leftist hack and the UN is a sick joke

Why does the UN sit on its hands

Does nothing while ISIS commits crimes against humanity on a massive scale

Yazidi women are doing more than the UN

France is doing more, for Christs sake

If the UN is the ultimate authority why don't they just tell ISIS to stop raping and torturing people? They are in charge of the world so that would take care of everything.

One reason why the UN has proved ineffectual in so many of the world's problem areas is the use of vetoes by the Big 5 members of the Security Council - the USA, UK, France, Russian and China. One example is the Russian's use of their veto to block investigation of how and why that unfortunate Malayan plane was shot down over Ukraine. This veto was met with outrage by the West. Yet Western powers are among the worst offenders in this area.

UN intervention and influence in the ME has been vetoed on (IIRC) c50 times by the US, anxious to protect its ally Israel from the wrath of the world for outrages such as the invasions of Gaza in 2007/8 and again last year, or the invasions of Lebanon which seem to occur with the same regularity. One example is the US's recent veto of a resolution demanding an end to settlement/colony expansion, even though the US and the rest of the world believes that expansion is illegal, and a serious breach of international law.

So if the West is looking for reasons for the UN's inability to make a difference where and when it matters most, there's no reason to look any further than into the nearest mirror.

While preaching to us you might want to note that Russia has vetoed more things than the rest of the security council put together.

Perhaps you didn't notice but I did draw attention to Russia's abuse of its veto re the Malayan plane has serious effects and not desirable effects either.

However, your post such as it is adds emphasis to my main point (which you seem to have misunderstood) ie. that the Big 5's abuse of their veto power at the Security Council for reasons of short term political expediency is one of the main reasons why the UN has proved ineffectual so often in the past.

While I seriously doubt that your intention was to support my assertion, thanks anyways.

Precisely what are you suggesting? Are you saying that the UN should be strengthened so that the Big 5's vetoes can be over ridden or negated somehow so that the UN can convene a force to deal with IS?

In my observation the US far Right loathes the UN, yet here you are implying it should be strengthened. Personally I think strengthening the UN would be a good thing. But developing a mechanism to over-ride individual vetoes has consequences too - the most obvious is the US will no longer be able to protect and shield Israel from the consequences of its innumerable crimes. Is this what you want? Again I think that would be a positive development but am not at all sure you would agree .....

So it would be best if you could spell out the precise steps you want taken so that the UN can deal with IS and the like now and in the future ...... if you can. I'm sure you wouldn't like to give the impression that you are just mouthing empty rhetoric and have no practical ideas to deal with the situation ........

I love the way leftists declare something like Iraq to be illegal and then expect everyone to accept that as fact. Bush had Congressional approval. That means it was legal.

A nice way to overlook two pertinent facts.

1) our leftist leader thoguht it was legal, most on the right didnt.
2) Do you really think Bush would have got a yes vote WITHOUT the big WMD lie ?

ISIS apologists keep going back to the lefts lies about Bush, as if Bush is even pertinent to 2015? Any more than Jimmuh Cottuh is pertinent to Iran 2015?

BS, simply an attempt at obfuscating the actual issue, which is Islamist fanatics and our current presidents negligence regarding the problem

Is it fuck...... the situation in Iraq has everything to do with Bush and Blairs mismanagement of an illegal invasion and the "rebuilding"

Sticking your head up your arse and pretending otherwise wont wash. Timelines are not your strongpoint are they bruv ?

Leftists such as yourself claim to care about womens reproductive rights, but you are the worst kind of hypocrites imaginable

At seeing news of countless women being held as horribly abused sex slaves all you can think to say or do, is to change the subject to how much you hate white men, hate Christians, hate Bush, hate me, derail the discussion to anything else

Any other subject

Leftists are so lost. NO compass

From TIME magazine:

quote:

Controversial Campaign to Buy Back ISIS Sex Slaves Hits Funding Milestone

But detractors say paying ransoms to ISIS will only encourage more abduction

Canadian businessman Steve Maman had raised half a million dollars as of Thursday via crowdfunding site GoFundMe for a controversial scheme to ransom Yezidi and Christian women from their ISIS captors.

Maman, who claims to have already rescued 128 girls and women from ISIS captivity, told investigative website Vocativ that he has been paying middlemen who negotiate with ISIS to ransom the women for between $1,000 and $3,000. The deals are said to take place in Iraqi Kurdistan.

The women, many of whom have faced violent sexual abuse, are then taken to refugee camps where they receive food, water, shelter and medical care, Maman told Vocativ.

...

Thousands of Yezidis have been killed by ISIS and there are thought be large numbers of Yezidi and Christian women living in sexual captivity to ISIS fighters.
