Do you think it is possible that this punkassmotherfucker intentionally escalated the level of violence until he was "justified" in "popin' a cap in this 'thug'"? I really don't... as far as I've heard he had no past record of abuse of his badge... I think he was surprised by the reaction of the Brown and when the kid tried to get his gun he was shook up and the adrenaline effected his decision making. Otherwise i think he was scared shitless when Brown decided to charge him. I believe he was in fear of his life... he was afraid if Brown got to him he would be fighting with a much larger man and could loose the battle... so... he killed him. In other threads many discussed what he should have done...me too... but we talk in hindsight. I still think I would have done things differently and like i said if Wilson had had more time to think I believe he would have too. Now I am just talking about Wilson and Brown incident...not the transgressions of the Ferguson police and court system which are well documented...and on their way to change. Butch If this were the first time this sort of incident had happened I, like you, would be willing to give this punk the benifit of the doubt. I am not a teenager anymore and I have seen this scenario for most of my life. That is not to say that I believe every encounter is a cop acting out of policy. The doj report about this incident points out the issues involved that led up to the incident. It points out the descrepencies in wilson's testimony. It points out "chain of custody" issues. It points out several reasons why wilson is not indictable. The doj report on fergustan and it's criminal behaviour clearly indicts the furgustan police department as criminals. This question is not meant to be a parallel to the brown incident...it is a what if: Would you feel obligated to obey a police officer if he ordered you to submit to his authority because of the color of your socks? Further if you had first hand knowledge that this particular officer had killed people in his custody what would you do? Would you submit or would you perceive a potential threat to your life and seek to protect yourself?
