Christians, Muslims, Jews, all religions demand equal rights: Freedom from Atheism and atheistic secularism. Thats all they ask. Equal rights. How is it fair that atheists get to demand freedom from religion and that religious people must accept the atheist agenda? So how do religious people get freedom from atheism?

Haven’t they been slugging it out the last 2 millennia. Modus Opernadi; carnage, murder, mayhem, rape, pillage, chaos, conversion, conditioning, to name a meagre few. I strongly suspect such advocates only see things one way and equal rights is but a state of mind. Minority aside many religious people look askew at other religions, sometimes the askew is disgust/hatred. They may view an atheist with less disdain and there exists a potential for seeing the light, or conditioning. I didn’t really understand this how is it fair that atheists get to demand freedom from religion and that religious people must accept the atheist agenda? So how do religious people get freedom from atheism? By not choosing and becoming imprisoned would be my answer. People are born into their religions in the main. Not exactly fair is it.

By being allowed to practice their chosen religion. An atheist can't be forced to believe in a God, or gods, and all manner of deists (regardless of the deity(ies)) can't be forced to not believe in a God. Atheists can't be forced to worship opposed to how they see fit. Deists can't be prevented from worshiping as to how they see fit.

I don't mind that atheists set up religious displays, etc. I do mind that they choose to do so at times that are sacred to christians. Legal, certainly. Insulting, absolutely. It sure makes it look as if the atheists are protesting a christians rights; rather than promulgating one of their own, which they could do any time of the year.

I was raised a catholic and became who I am. I utilised my free will and IQ of 186 muffins on the Mensa lunacy scalar 2. Are you telling me, I, a humble loon with 3 cats, and hunger for muffins, It sure makes it look as if the atheists are protesting a Christians rights; all i saw there was everyone is Christian or atheist show me a god any god..the bible ( collection of many writings not the word of a god) refers to gods, I can assure you off that and not in the holy trinity sense. does that count as an atheist setting up a protest with factual words exists stage left to shop for wine There are no gods, save I king of the Muffins will you fall to your knees and give me cash as for the main religions there words are borrowed, and often warped from the depths of antiquity.

Well, I am socially and politically...a Pedestrian. At least that is, when I am not being an ultra moderate, right wing, revolutionary pacifist. But, am I forcing you to walk or forcing you to revolt ? If there is any freedom in this world, it is...freedom from Atheism !!

I seem to remember your view that atheists were in some way oppressing religionists as a constant thing, and that you - in your delightfully American way - frequently "handed the asses" to people who disagreed with your view, on the thread in question. In starting this new thread, do you feel that there's a need to "hand us atheists our asses" a little more? If so, could you explain how that need arises?
