The historic “Brexit” vote has the Texas Nationalist Movement calling on Governor Greg Abbott to support a “Texit.”

“It is past time that the people of Texas had their say on our continued relationship with the Union and its sprawling Federal bureaucracy,” TNM president Daniel Miller posted on the group’s website. “The win for Brexit opens the door for Texit by establishing, concretely, that it is possible to have an adult conversation on independence and letting the people have the final say.”

My weary response is three simple words: Need help packing?

For those who don't pack there will be four words.
"Learn to speak spanish"
From the instant texas relinquishes federal protection till the mexican flag flies over texas will be a very short period of time.

Texas had that discussion with Mexico already.

Actully it was amerika that had that discussion with mexico.
Should the secession succeed, what would texas use to stop mexico from reclaiming texas?

They don't have any - that's why you have blonde fucking airheads like Megyn Kelly pretending to be journalists.

They try and pull this shit every few years - bottom line, it's never gonna happen. It's both legislatively and economically impossible and if some band of idiots with guns tries to secede, that's when the Predator drones will come out, posse comitatus be damned.

Damn what a great idea... that part of the country is full of nuts anyway.... maybe we could give them the south east too.

Their electricity is always on, I will have to confess their electricians are competent.

dc, I too am tired of the rhetoric. They aren't as powerful alone as they fantasize, especially without US military there.

Let them go. Bye! They're a drain on the economy anyway. Oil only gets you so far, even with ports.

Plus, less coastline will make it easier for the donald to build his wall. Mexico might actually pay to give Texas nowhere to run.

I think they knew what they were doing when they didnt mention a minimum percentage result before hand.
I think its far too late, but i have zero trust or surprise of any of the pols.

Really, can't see it happening, but I suppose they might do something to humour the lazy fuckers in London who let a little rain put them off turning out to vote on thursday.
(Also, legally, the 60% minimum thing is horseshit, or Scotland wouldn't have stayed in the UK back in '14 from a 10% majority, would it?)
