ORIGINAL: LadyPact OK, folks. I get it. "The sky is falling... The sky is falling," and "Dear God, what will newbs do without open access to Fet"? One stop shopping just got taken away. Where, oh where, are people interested in kink going to go now??? People hate it when I say this, but the old methods still work. Being one of the people who got into this before I ever had a screen name, I have some tips for you. To start, google is your friend!!! <Major city closest to you> + BDSM will show you where the events are. Every major event still runs it's own, independent webpage. Books. Yeah, the old fashioned kind with words printed on pages. Every book ever published by Greenery Press still has "about the author" in the back. In "Screw the Roses, (Send Me the Thorns) alone, there are over a hundred references about real time groups. Go to the flipping gay/alternative bar and/or drag queen-king show. Look for the bulliton board. The fliers about where kinky people meet are there! Connect with your local LGBT community. Go to events like Pride. It is so easy to find kinky people there. Vendors. You saw that shiny, new toy on the net? Ask them where they will be setting up shop. They will *tell you* where to find the kinky folks. ANYBODY who has been into kink for more than ten years can tell you how to do this. The world didn't stop turning just because Fet isn't accepting new members. Do we really need a lecture or advice on how to find kinky people offline? I think not unless there is a novice reading the thread?
