I can point out that feminist body positivity is just a bunch of utter lies designed to make the fat bitches - who constitute the bulk of the feminist movement (in more ways than one - see what I did there!) - feel better about their shitty existence.

In fact, Peon, I encourage you to fat-shame as often as humanly possible. It's good for fat people. It motivates them to get up off their ass, get their heads out of the fucking fridge and do some goddamn exercise. You might want to make an announcement at the next feminist meeting you attend. I'm sure they'll all applaud.

Twisting the world and everything in it to maintain your fantasy of your own superiority just comes so naturally to you that you can't entertain any diversity of expression.

The evidence presented is fairly clear. There is a pay gap. Some of it is because of employment preferences and childcare, but that leave a proportion that relates to employers being less willing to employ women or pay them the same as men. We can argue about the strength of these factors, but your going for straight denial just seems a bit blinkered.

Not all "facts" fit your world view. I think you know that, despite clearly being very much king of your own castle (at least in your own mind).

Unless otherwise specified, the person who asks, pays.

If a person is not going to ask another out because of the fear of paying. . . well. . . you probably do not want to go out with them anyways.


Not sure I agree with the last point but the statement "unless otherwise specified, the person who asks, pays", seems pretty good to me.

If you don't have the money, don't ask someone out to a fancy restaurant. If someone needs to be asked on an expensive date to impress them and you don't have the money, you're on to a loser anyway so why chance it? If they don't need an expensive date and you ask them on one then get them to pay, you are left looking stupid and inadequate.

It's the convention that a man should wrestle with that dilemma without just coming clean that sometimes the issue.

Not all women expect a man to pay for everything and not all women expect to be taken on expensive dates. Some do. If you are a man you don't have to go for women who need frequent expensive dates with you paying for them.

Sure it narrows the field but, hell, everyone can find someone if they have a good attitude. Plenty of women either pay or don't need the high life. It's just if you are a man of lowly means and you like princesses with expensive tastes, you are not going to get very far. Don't complain about it being unfair. Just suck it up and find someone else.

Princesses with expensive tastes are narrowing their own fields too, so they hardly get everything their own way either.

Yep, I'm not sure whether I'm more frightened about having to endure a meal with some of these guys, or being stung to pay for it.

I'll cook (and clean up afterwards properly ) then I can decide who comes along, enjoy the company, and know that I'm not putting out at the end of the meal (or having to care about everyone's gender roles).

And I'll pay for everyone else to go out on a "date" and take their personal unpleasantness with them.
